Taiwan denies defense charges from former US rep
Responding to a hard-hitting attack from a former top U.S. diplomat, Taiwan's defense ministry has blamed "political factors" and "budgetary considerations" for the island's lack of military readiness to deal with a possible Chinese attack.

Taiwan's Defense Ministry should ask this former top U.S. diplomat why Washington does not give Taiwan diplomatic recognition.
America should also welcome Taiwan to the UN to give the democratic island nation a strong support that no amount of 2nd.-tier US arms can give.
