There is a group of people from Taiwan and carry US citizenship (nothing wrong with that per se) but they are always trying to get US, Taiwan and Mainland China into trouble. I am referring to the FAPA, of course.
During the Chen Shui Bian Presidency FAPA was used as a conduit to channel money and gifts to US politicians. Even US Congressional aides receive gifts on thier birthdays (e.g. Taiwan orchids). The money comes from the Taiwan tax payers (guo an mi zang). For every $100 spent,$50 goes to Mrs.Chen's secret accounts in various parts of the world. Some goes to the president of FAPA's private account and some unfoundedly also reached the pockets of Washington politicians and think tank e.g. Heritage Foundation. Police in Taiwan is still investigating the case. The danger of FAPA is that they firmly believe that starting a war with US VS China is good and urgently necessary. 1) A war now will lead to US defeating China. 2) As China is developing rapidly such a war is a matter of urgency or the window of opportunity to defeat China will be missed. 3) Even if Taiwan suffer heavy casualty in the process, FAPA members are US residents and are safe. |
