Great. ABC cancels a great show like Pushing Daisies, but wants to revive a show that lived far past its prime. I seriously hate all reality and game shows.

I don't think a revival will work since it didn't work for "Super Millionaire" a few years ago. But you can't blame ABC for trying. "Pushing Daisies" may have been a better show, but it got horrible ratings. Its the reality and game shows that give networks its short-term bread and butter.

Well, in my opinion, they ruined Millionaire years ago when they put it on every night and kept having special nights with stars etc. If they had kept it at maybe two nights a week, with regular people, I think the show would have survived at nighttime. And Regis was great on the show - it wasn't his fault it didn't survive. If you have lost him to Password, then that is your tough luck!!

Here we go again at ABC. They were starting to gain momentum and now they're practicing NBC's moves and brining back stuff that is past its prime. Wnough with the game and reality shows already and the networks better wake up and wake up fast or they won't have any more audience to find. NBC bringing in Hillary Duff for a show, how pathetic is that?!

Amen.

There is way too much "reality" t.v. and game shows.

I believe I saw a commercial on CBS for Million Dollar Password with Regis as a host. From what I hear from friends who watch, he still stinks.

What really killed the show the first time around was when they quit letting you win your way onto the show and made you go through auditions.

I'll just say this-- it might not be so much that Regis is unavailable after all. CBS recently announced that they were yanking "Million Dollar Password" (it wasn't on last night and is entirely off the schedule for this month and next) indefinitely, so who knows. Sounds like they may be giving up the show, which would leave Regis free to do this.

Sure Millionaire is well, well past its prime.
But I'd definitely tune in for the nostalgic factor alone.
I can't believe it has been 10 years since the premiere date of the show; I remember it like it was just yesterday!

Have to agree with RDW, about the auditions making the show more homogeneous i.e. boring. I made it to the Fast finger round, back during one of the first episodes (missed the Hot Seat by .08 seconds, ouch), and part of what was exciting was the odd mix of people who made it on.

The new quicker format would be better for prime time anyway. Remember when it was on before, the show was so slooooooooooooooooooooow.

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
