When I heard that Andrew Dan-Jumbo was arrested, it peaked my interest because his image on the show "While You Were Out" portrays him as a good guy with a kind heart. I just visited your website and I think the reason is absolutely ridiculous! First of all, he was at a fundraiser for the American Red Cross and this absurd arrest takes away from their publicity. Second, I know that the Buffalo Police Officers have better things to do than arrest ANYONE for something so silly. Third, this type of publicity gives any Police Officers negative attention. I come from a family of Police Officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe from drugs, crime etc. which to me is much more important.

I fail to see how this incident gives negative attention to Police Officers in any way. The officers were off duty and serving as security gaurds in case they were needed, and they were. Trespass is trespass, no matter who you are. If you are asked to leave private property and you refuse, you are trespassing. If someone was in YOUR kitchen and refused to leave, would you feel the same way? If one of your family members removed him would you feel he had better things to do with his offtime?

There must be more to this story than what we are being told. An incident that causes this much publicity....certainly would like to know the details, then I will pass judgement.

Some cities pay their celebrities to attend social function. Here, they are asked to leave for stepping over the ‘hot dog line’. If this weren’t so sad if would be laughable! To go abroad and accomplish so much only to come home and have your reputation smeared by something like this shows how discrimination also smears our reputation as the ‘City of Good Neighbors’. After seeing the crown, It’s ODD that he was singled out! Let’s wait to hear the other side of the story.

Oh boy another celebrity in a bit of trouble. Since I don't know the circumstances behind the arrest, I'll just say this, Andrew can come to my house any day for a cookout after he fixes my stairs!

For those of you who always believe what you read...Find out the truth first before you make comment! Andrew is a great guy with an excellent reputation. Have you ever looked into his volunteer bio?

Police Officers sure know how to use there badge for just about everything. I am sure every one of us knows an officer who has used his badge to intimidate or gain respect. What the public needs to understand is that police officers are here for us to serve and protect NOT scare.

I agree with this statement. However I do feel as thought the only reason why this is a big deal if there is no more to the story is because he is popular. If you are someone famous of someone important and you plan on doing something wrong you can count on the publicity if you get caught. Its just a waste of the news!!

I was a volunteer for the Red Cross function in question. There were several volunteers asked to keep people from going into a certain area that was used for cooking, storage, and transferring of supplies, etc, for over 3000 guests. The area in question was not safe for party-goers to be at. Furthermore, there were VOlUNTEERS who were attending and keeping these areas clear. A police officer would only have been asked to intervene if someone wasn't cooperating and refused to leave the area in question. He had ample warning to leave the area, and refused. The bottom line, it was a charity event, he should have some consideration for those volunteers and guests who were there to have a good time.

As I read other posted comments regarding Andrew's actions I couldn't help but to feel like people wouldn't see his actions as "trouble" if two things about Dan-Jumbo were different, First his skin color and second his celebrity.

I have personally met Andrew and he is so kind and very giving. Buffalo should be proud that Andrew chooses Buffalo over all the other cities in this country he could choose from! Lets support Andrew and think positive!

Of course someone has to play the race car. This was not an issue of race, as all other guests, both black and white, were more than accomodating when asked to stay out of the area in question.

Of course its his race...not the fact that he was probably being a dumba$$ and not doing what he was told.

Please just stop....
