It's about time!! I've been a makeup artist in L.A. for the past 11 years, and that's when we in the industry started to notice all the projects that were going up to Canada. We all thought that once the producers noticed the film quality and other nuances weren't as sharp as Hollywood filmmaking, that the bottom would soon fall out, and films would come back to L.A. again. WRONG!! L.A. has really taken us for granted, and in doing so has lost so much revenue that would have curbed some of the state debt we now have. Thanks to their slow-acting, the rest of the country has built film studios in states that in the past was unheard of.
I just hope this isn't too little, too late.
