Not sure this is where to send this..... but just wanted to say thanks to Tony Robinson and the producers of the programmes on the elderly. It gives our consciences a nudge, and I for one will regret to my dying day that I didn't do more for my Father and selfishly thought of myself and my needs only and he was put into a home for the elderly.
OK - he was a very big man and needed special lifting gear etc. but in hindsight and in my remorse, I am sure I could have done more. This particular place was of a high standard and the staff I am sure were kind, but it wasn't home. His unhappiness was evident.
Surely it would be cheaper for the government to have old people looked after by relatives and should help towards the funding of it as most of us need to be employed and go out to work.
So this is just a thank you. No more. Keep up the good work/programmes. I do not wish to be quoted.
