Sad when the best thing that can be said about you was something you did a quarter of a century ago.

Ironically, that remark is probably what drove the poor woman to drink. She signed on to be the girl who provided part of the sexual tension, and when they hired Summers, DeWitt became the third leg of the show.
She stuck out only because she was not needed.
Imagine being on a hit show where everyone knew it could go on without you, because you just weren't attractive enough. You go to work every day, and you know everyone knows it, but nobody says it.
This is also why Hollywood too often turns essentially nice people into some kind of monster.

Really? Why not share with us all the hit tv comedies you've been featured on. We're interested.

Personally, I thought she was the hot one during the show's run. Always liked short haired brunettes rather than blondes.

I was expressing sympathy for her current position...lord what a clot of illiterate dolts frequent these postings.

I think anyone who is only remembered for something they did more than a quarter century ago (and for which she is often referred to as "the other girl", would be a little depressed.

Worst thing for a professional actor is something like "Oh, I know you, you used to be in X back in the 70's/80's any non-current time frame."

"You used to be in" translates to "Oh wow, you used to be famous."

I wasn't mocking her, I was offering sympathy but that seems a touch beyond some posters here.

Thats a very stupid comment you made. She was not homely, in fact she was a very pretty girl. I have to say Suzanne was a bitch to both Jack and Joyce.

I would personally take a brunette over a blond any day.

Cool. You take the 50 year old fat brunette, and I'll take the 21 year old blonde cheerleader.
