I think that it would be a wonderful thing if Hillary and Barack would go together to a places like that where the people were swindled by the current government. Just for a couple of towns, set aside the campaigning and let the people know that, so long as a Democrat wins the Whitehouse, they will never be left out again.

Let McBush chew on that.

Then Hillary and Barack can go back to swatting at each other.

This election should have been a cake walk for the Dems and you just know they are going to screw it up and lose the presidency to a crazy old man who predicts 100 years in Iraq and who readily admits after how many years as a Senator that he doesn't know anything about the economy.

GIs bad mouthing officers, politicians,or any body who they think beating on will make them feel better?? Give me a brake!Since time began solders have "Bitched and Moaned"

Washington had that problem in his army. They were sabotaging the war.A few, creating problems for the many.
He promptly shot some, and hung others. And went on to build a new history.
Today its "HIP" among some of these guys.It usually for publicity, money,or political aspirations.

This is a volunteer army, one of the best. This guy asked to be put in this war.Others got "Quietly" killed, and malcontents do no good to their memory!

We should give the guy some slack. If anyone should be allowed to voice their opinions, it should be the very people fighting for us to have such a right.

Also, I don't see how anyone can say the Republican'T will beat a Democrat. America is tired of being the world's police officer.

Sen. McCain is indeed a hero. Unfortunately, war is all he knows. We will be in a war (if not more) during his entire term. Now who wants that?

Oh, I agree the soldier has a right to voice his opinions, as all of us do. I just wonder why the smaller fraction of soldiers who choose to criticize the goals of the war and people like McCain get orders of magnitude more press than those of us who generally support the idea of bringing democracy and justice to Iraq.

I wonder how the alleged ranger Martinez feels about our presence in Japan for the past 63 years. Or Germany. Or the fact that we have forces on hair-trigger readiness in Korea and have had them there for over 50 years. Having a military presence in the world's hottest spot, the middle east, is not a bad idea, given the world's oil supply, and by association, the world's economic health is threatened by islamic extremists. People who are too stupid to see the big picture should never be given any political power (Hillary or Obama)

Guarantee you war is NOT all McCain knows. One may disagree on ideas and topics, but don't make such ignorant statements. "100" years" of "regional presence" of some sort is absolutely likely unless Iran nukes the area or nuclear fusion is perfected to replace oil.

We will be in Iraq with some sort of military presence for most of our lifetimes. THis is a neccessary thing. Complaining about what got us to this point will not solve things. I thought the concern about where Iraq's oil profits are going rased by a senator recently was great. Why are we conintuing to pay for them to fix the country wheen they are pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars. Apparently much of it is unnaccounted for.
