The significance of "Our Friend" and "Your Friend" is that when somebody is "your friend", he is just a low level,goon...

"Our friend" means the guy is a made man.

Blago would be your friend, only dumber.

The Sopranos? This writer is a fool. You are comparing idiot, line reading actors to real life? Jimmy Gandolfini is a very shy person who doesn't even like to do meet and greets without other actors. Rod, et al are the real deal Chi Town style. His only problem was getting in Richie's face and that no one can do and survive. At least w/i the Chicago machine. Too bad because I met Rod and he is cool.

Close and an A for effort. "friend of ours" would be the correct terminology for a made wiseguy. "friend of mine" doesn't mean anything except that he may or may not be in a crew that does business with the mafioso. Check CRIME INC a doc from a British company in the 80's and stay away from the wannabes like Chase (Sopranos) et al.

Big time drug dealers are way smarter than Blago. He should have been manning a toll booth or running a dunkin donuts.

People won't think it's so dumb when he starts talking about Rezko and Barack Obama.

And Rezko is talking according to todays Washington Post....the paper that broke Nixons Watergate.

Talk in code? You mean talk like Bush talks to reporters by calling them "nicknames"?

Sounds like Fitzgerald had better start investigating Bush again and find out what ties Bush has with the mob.

This is funny! I was talking to my clients yesterday and said.." I guessed Blago never read the news about how the feds busted most of the mafia families in the past"...I guess when you are delusional ,arrogant and egotistical you don't think this will happen to you.

You're giving Blago way too much credit. If we here on the Sopranos, he'd be no more than 'Little Tony', who also got a little too 'ambitious'... It's obvious who 'T' is in Illinois.

Of course he saw the show. He put on Paulie Walnuts's sweatsuit before he was taken into custody.

You are wrong their my friend. He did not want to kill paulie because of his laundrettes, that just made him even more annoyed. I have analyzed just about ever seen in the Sopranos for meaning and themes. 1) Tony is thinking about "offing" Paulie because he has been making him annoyed on the entire trip by talking to much to everyone about their personnel affairs, his turrettes just make him even more unbearable. 2) Tony is just like everyone else in the Show David Chase is trying to make a statement on, a sociopaths, manipulator who has the Italian family ethic, but strong tendencies towards violence when things don't go his way,

Why are they wannabies? Chase's whole thing is that these are not 60's Mafia guys, they are in current times in America, spoiled by all the same things as everyone else around them, so they use their own terms.
