Is he going to patent this as the "Couch Chair"?

Nowhere in this story is any mention of him having a pilot's license (lighter than air, or balloonist). It is required, DOH!

Before we glorify idiocy, a decent reporter should assure himself that he is not a member of the same club.

I'm sure you do things for fun to which others would object.
I'm sure you're wrong.

Except ... maybe ... how I got rid of all the raccoons in the attic. But that probably is classified more as work than fun.

I wonder if he knows about the priest who recently tried a similar stunt in Soh America? Still haven't found him.

He just won't quit until he is fried on some high-voltage power lines.

Didn't the goofy priest from South America try this a few months ago and hasn't been heard from since! Add this guy to the list.
Yup.

I think tying a lawn chair to balloons is a bad idea.. If this guy wants to try it so be it, its his malfuntion.

I wouldnt want to be at 100k feet in a lawn chair tho. lol.

This is a ridiculous safety risk. There is absolutely no reason the FAA should permit this lunacy. If he falls out of that chair people on the ground are going to be traumatized, if not killed when he lands on them. This man needs to be arrested for even planning this.
