there is no way u can replace charlie sheen on this show. It would not be the same. Charlie Sheen is 75% of the show and thats a fact jack.

John Cryer is the comedic genius on this show. Charlie's role could be played by just about any good-looking male actor about his age (with the cahonies to step-in). With the solid cast they have on "Two and a Half Men", this show could recover very well in spite of Sheen's absence. I wish him well with his health, but I don't mistake him to be the cornerstone of this show. Some might suggest he plays the same character he is in real life; not what I would call a real acting stretch. Cryer, on the other hand, provides the physical comedy (remember the episode in which he was tasered?), while Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell, Holland Taylor, Melanie Lynskey and Jane Lynch all provide superb supporting roles. This is not the same challenge producers had when trying to replace John Ritter on "8 Simple Rules".

If Charlie Sheen isn't asked to come back to Two and a Half Men following some sort of negotiations with the producers, the show won't survive. They may as well start ideas for a new show altogether without Sheen. With a new actor replacing Sheen in the show, people will probably tune in to see what it's like for a couple of episodes before losing interest, because it's not the same without Sheen. The show was made around Sheen, and if you take him out, the show is not going to work. People simply won't have the same interest as they do now. Meanwhile, Sheen's just going to keep making money in other ways like doing the crap he's doing now: stupid comedy tours, and looking for new movie roles or his own TV show. The fact is, people have become infatuated with watching Sheen, his way of life on Two and a Half Men, and hearing about how similar his life is in real life. People love watching him, and wishing they were in his shoes. John Cryer is a great part of the show, but without Sheen next to him, there's no interest in the show.

I think they outta scrap two and a half men and give Berta her own show. Hell they can say thAT Charlie ran off with Rose and end the show. Create a show that centers around Berta and her family and life after Charlie.I would love to see a show with Concheta Ferrell or however you spell her name. I think that would make for some good comedy. Two and a half men is all played out and I personally am fed up with Charlie Sheen and his mental illness. The only show I want to see Charlie Sheen in is CELEBRITY REHAB!!!Go BERTA

Two and a half men without Charlie is like Snickers without nuts. Like pancakes without syrup. I would not even bother watching the show if Charlie is not on it....

A few thoughts about the previous posts:
a. I think "Snickers" without nuts would still be a tasty treat, as would pancakes with peanut butter instead of syrup.
b. I really appreciated the suggestion from lissliss66 about a break-away comedy staring Conchata Ferrell.
c. Unlike many of you, I truly believe "Two and a Half Men" can be a successful show without Charlie Sheen (although I have to agree with Memyslefandl that Charlie represents the 'nuts' within the "Snicker" bar). There is no denying Charlie's popularity, but this show is rich with fine ingredients. The producers just need to create the right storyline and stir.
