Why can't the nitwits in Hollywood just leave Fine Art alone and run the British series "as is"?!? WHY do they have to rewrite things? What would have happened if they had done that with Python or Fawlty Towers?!? The actors in the British IT Crowd are absolutely BRILLIANT and the narrow-minded formulaic comedy-by-numbers style of American sitcoms just won't hack it! Just one look at McHale in that photo versus the amazing Irish actor in the English series hints at the horror that redoing the series for the USA would result in! For God's sake, just import the show, and be happy with the success you'll have from that! It's pure genius in its existing form! And you'll save money AND face!

I can't agree more with Pog's comment. Running the show as is right now would be the perfect thing for NBC, especially since it's already done they don't have to worry about getting writers. I've already seen both seasons though, so I wouldn't be watching it.

I'm glad NBC may be giving up on this. They'll just screw up a pretty decent British show. Must See TV is certainly turning into Why Bother TV.

I've seen both seasons of the British Version and I love it. When I first heard NBC was going to air an American Version this fall I though it was bittersweet. They can never live up to the original but it would still be nice to see it in the states. Whether NBC goes through with it or not makes no difference to me. I can live with the British version just as it is.

THAT'S CRAP! The IT Crowd would've been a great show! The UK version was wonderful! Mr.Silverman just wants to do some buddies a favor and get some lame ass shows on the air that would never really make it anywhere else. LAME!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I was really looking forward to a version of this show in the states. I can't stop watching the British version, it is so hillarious! and the fact that Richard Ayoade, was going to play Moss, the same character he does in the british version... dear god, it would have been comedy brilliance! So very very sad.

You are SO so so wrong... have you seen Talk Soup? I would love to see how him Richard Ayoade brought different nuances to Roy and Moss! oh yeah and just so you know, the Irish actors name in the British version is Chris O'Dowd.

Series 3 of IT Crowd has just started here in UK and it is absolutely FANTASTIC! I have to watch each episode at least twice to catch all jokes.

Adding NBC to the IT crowd is like adding silicone to real funbags. 100% American garbage

Nobody wants to watch "Kathitor and Kim"... we want The IT Crowd!

This just shows how out of touch these network execs are. Hence, the rise of cable TV.

NBC is a bunch of IDIOTS for not picking this up!! Just shows the mentality of why the TV networks are doomed. And they expect us to pick up an HD set because WHY????

The IT Crowd is the only funny show on TV. I also love Joel McHale, but I don't think I could sit through and American version. The show is perfect as it is, the fact that its British is what makes it so damn good.

If you don't bring back the main three from the original cast, why bother. It's an ensemble - if you had replacaed George, Kramer or Elaine from Seinfeld, it would have flopped.

Stick with a winning cast - together, they are fabulous.
