The man is gay however he does not want to be gay. He has acted on his gay thoughts and impulses and sinned against GOD. Now he has come out about it but refuses to admit that he is gay. Its ok to be gay and not act on your gay impulses because you want to obey the word of GOD. Its ok to be gay and sexless.

Concerning Ted Haggard read this:

Hebrews 6:4 (CEV) But what about people who turn away after they have already seen the light and have received the gift from heaven and have shared in the Holy Spirit? What about those who turn away after they have received the good message of God and the powers of the future world? There is no way to bring them back. What they are doing is the same as nailing the Son of God to a cross and insulting him in public!

The Bible says that these people who have supposedly been so close to God, there is no way to bring them back. I believe that once a person takes office and they violate their trust and hurt the Body of Christ, they have had their chances with God.

It is different if he was just a normal Christian who had failed. But he with the position he held knew better. There are too many pulling down the church that believe they will get away with it. I do not want to be Haggard when He has to stand before God, that is, if he ever gets there.

God is not mocked, what you sow so shall you reap.

He apparently thought nothing of those vows, so your point is moot. There was deception on his part from the beginning. So the marriage is not valid.

Did I touch a sore spot? She should forgive him for being a fraud? No. Unless torment and lies are something she gets off on, she should move on. He won't change. He is who he is,even if he wants to deny that.

Ted Haggard is my step causon inlaw bc my step dad is related 2 him. My step dad is name Tim Haggard and he is related 2 Murll Haggard 2 not lieing im telling the T. Oh well if he gay let him be.

As long as someone is truly repentant & seeks God he can still receive forgiveness, if that were not so none of us could stand. There are sins of the heart also, hate, lust, unforgiveness etc. Yes, obviously it was a very grivious sin but what can one do thereafter, seek God because otherwise there would be no hope or salvation. I saw him on TV the other day with his wife, and they have earnestly reconciled & she has forgiven him, to me that speaks of hope not for them but for others also, for without God's forgiveness none of us would see salvation..I am not saying too take forgiveness lightly though,

I mispoke, I meant to say that speaks of hope for them, and also for others. The main thing is that one still wants a true relationship with Christ, that is all we have & can have....I'd rather trust him no matter what, & let him direct the path...then myself because then I would be lost

Jesus Christ transforms us from the inside out. Its not just about fixing our external actions. If I stop murdering, and still have anger and envious thoughts in my heart, I'm still sinning. Christ changes lives through His Spirit. "If you clean the inside, the outside will be cleaned as well." Mathew 23:26 He doesn't tell us to do this through our own stregth, but through the stength of the Holy Spirit which Christ sent after he rose again. How do we do this? We submit to the will of the Spirit and allow Him to fill us, guide us, convit us, and empower us in Christ.

Christ tells us to bring our burdens before him and to depend on Him through the Holy Spirit for stregth to overcome the sin in our life. We are save by grace through faith. Christ paid the penalty for our sins once and for all because he loves us. He loved you enough to die in your place. He doesn't want anyone to perish, and it burdens Him greatly when we turn away from Him and reject his grace and forgiveness. Talk about a God who loves us!!!!

Modern Young women, those raised as teens to be so selfish and given anything and everything they want, who will only wear name brands, etc.- I believe that is who your "mothers" were. We had our kids and knew responsibility came with them, if they were to be good members of society --
Todays kids speak bad of, AND TO, their teachers and get away with it.
