Young zydeco phenom invited to display his talent on Oprah

Once again, Oprah may have found the next big thing. Guyland Leday, a 10-year-old zydeco accordionist from Opelousas, has been invited to play on the Oprah Winfrey Show this week.

The taping of Guyland for Oprah show was done on the 2nd of April. The show will be aired at a lately time. (TBA)

I saw Guyland play in Daphne Alabama about 4 yrs ago but first I saw him zydeco dance that was IMPRESSIVE to start about 10 min later I saw him with an accordion and he was playing it upside down in his hands since he is left handed and he was given a right handed model. he played it over his head, behind his back, between his legs and while lying on the floor,as good or better than ANY adult zydeco player I have heard, next to him was I believe his YOUNGER brother who I think was just out of diapers playing the rubboaard like satans own precussionist, I am not kidding the both of them made the hair stand on the back of my neck the were GREAT, later I saw GL fronting a whole band and telling them what was going to be played next-incredulous I still am as I type these words
