Ricky Gervais in Derek - review

Approaching a new Ricky Gervais comedy without preconceptions is now impossible.

Obviously meant to cause controversy and uproar ricky thinks he on to a win win situation, joe public will either lap it up or shout at there tellys in disgust. I know im playin to his tune by writin this but if anything it proves that carl can act! and idiot abroad is FAKE

Anyone who saw the programme and still believes he was taking the piss out of the mentally disabled obviously didn't watch it properly. It was a good show, well acted with gentle humour and A good deal of pathos. Good work Mr Gervais.

not perfect, but very moving at times, this show wasnt making fun at Derek, he was showing just how all of us should be

It was just shite. He struck gold with the office and this its a repeat of that. He writes some good stuff but his acting is tosh. He is a one trick pony with good contacts who let this crap go to air.
