If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a drunk driver! Lock him up. He is in 8 movies yet to be released. He can afford to buy a cab company. I have no sympathy for drunk drivers.

Necessary? It's not necessary that I drink my own urine, but its sterile and I like how it tastes!

He should have known better than to party without TLJ and Will Smith, or at least he should have carried the alien megablaster. Everyone knows the CT state cops are from another planet....

If Torn were a cop or a judge - he'd have been allowed to continue driving drunk so long as he promised the cop he'd go straight home – but CT is not the only place that sort of thing happens.

So the guy went and picked out a Christmas Tree, went to a bar for a drink, was presumably a couple of miles from home (how big can Salisbury be?), drove home in the breakdown lane because he had a tree on the top of his car and was beset upon by a bored State Trooper (how much crime is there in Salisbury?) who had nothing better to do than sit outside a bar and look for DUI's? Bah humbug!

The sad part is I bet the State Trooper was proud of this arrest. Let me guess, the guy was going 10 mph, 15 mph maybe?

Wonder if he is friends with Judge Cofield? They both like to verbally assault police officers while drunk.

My thoughts were similar. Some people don't like uniformed bullies who appear in your rearview mirror to do thier "routine " stop. If it had been newer model vehicle doing 65 he was home free. But, the days of probable cause are gone. The Gestapo rules. My man Rip.

Have you ever done the DUI check? I have. 3 times in the same night at the same spot by three different "Officers". If I had slipped up on any of the contortionist exercises, it was curtains. I also couldn't do a one legged chicken stand on the shoulder while using opposite hands to find my eyes because of a knee operation. I did it on the other leg but he wasn't happy. Backup arrived. They took turns practicing until they were satisified that I wasn't drinking. Now, if I had Rip's temper, I would have have told them to "shove it", too. But, I'm a Model citizen so they only charged me with Reckless Driving which was thrown out. Bullies. Go Rip

I had to do the exercises. Passed with flying colors and still had to do the breathalyzer. I blew a .00. They saw me leaving a bar at 2:00 am after a softball tournament and figured I was drinking. LOL. I told them I didn't drink. After they did that they asked me if I knew why they pulled me over. I didn't. They said there had been a rash of burglaries and they thought I may be casing the Mobil because I was going a little slower than normal.

...and you know this because you're a cop and have done it? Guess again. Cops get busted just like everyone else when they're DUI.

Rip seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time..........over and over again. Hmmm, I wonder how that happens. In the words of that old country song, "What's made Milwaukee famous has made a loser out of me."

Also, he is 77. People's balance is affected as they age. I'm not sure I could pass a sobriety test sober.
