An amazing performer - and along with the likes of Tina Turner and Sophia Loren seems to effortlessly stay sexy. Madonna could take notes. Plus she earned the "EGOT" Tracy Morgan was after in last week's 30 Rock. Mike Nichols was another winner, I can't remember who the other two were.

I've said it before and say it again, what is it with some women and men, that get better with age?

Of men: only a few come to mind...in fact, only one comes to mind (and I know its because of his "good genes")- Sean Connery...the guy's as old as the wind, and looks better, now, than when he was James Bond.

But, women? Now, that's a different "game" altogether:

Sofia (and everyone knows of whom I posting about)

Gina (no need to post her last name)

Claudia (Cardinale, of course)

both of the deceased: María Félix and Dolores Del Río, barbie dolls, until their dying day. María (in my opinion) is still, the most beautiful "animal" created by God (along with Elizabeth)....(Taylor, of course).

Chita Rivera, the ever, eternally young queen of B'way. What a performer!

And the one and only: Ms. Moreno. Along with some of the great names of B'way, took entertainment to a whole new level.

She is more beautiful now, than when she appeared in the King and I and West Side Story.

And the same goes to: Jane Fonda...., along with her brother, Peter....they don't seem to get old, only better.

Jane, in Barbarella, was a doll and you can't take your eyes off her, thru the whole movie.

But, with age: came that elegance, along with beauty, that was missing in her Barbarella, Klute and They Shoot Horses, Don't They, days.

Happy Birthday! Rita, you're one of the best.

Gracias, but don't get me started on Black beauties.

To name a few:

Diahann Carroll

Diana Ross

Halle Berry

Iman

Tyra

Beyoncé

Rhianna

Dorothy Dandrige

God, there are so many of them....I guess,(unconsciously) I go more for Black women...than Latinas.

But,(consciously) Asian, Indian and Arab women are my favorites....

Jorge,

I think it's pretty safe to say that you like women. ;-)

It's nice to hear you mention some names of women who
are over 30.

Some are even dead...LOL

But, beauty is beauty, regardless if its a woman or a man. Who can keep the eyes (men or women) off a young Alain Delon in Visconti's, The Leopard? or from a young Tyrone Power in Marie Antoinette.

What man didn't want to be Clark Gable or Gary Cooper, in the 30's?

It's no wonder, the camera fell in love with so many of them-from Rudy Valentino to Leonard Whitting (in 1967 Romeo and Juliette).

And I didn't fall in love with any of them. Just love to admire beauty, wherever is found.

I'm very comfortable in my masculinity, as you can see.

I forgot...try finding a flaw in Paul Newman on Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (with Liz Taylor) and get back to me.

Jorge

Have seen that movie, way over a thousand times (not to see the perfection of Liz's and Mr. Newman's) but the excellent performance of Burl Ives, as Big Daddy.

I can't argue with you. Paul Newman was such a beautiful man, and Liz Taylor was
at her peak of beauty when that movie was filmed.
How about Clint Eastwood in Play Misty For Me?

Combine Clint's coolness (since his "spaghetti Western days", all thru Dirty Harry and Play Misty For Me); with Tom Brokaw's voice, Sean Connery's good genes; James Earl Jones' presence and Paul Winfield's narrating ways...and you get the perfect Jorge. LOL

How does that sound?

Sense of humor?

Nathan Lane's....

Oh! almost forgot:

Robert De Niro's and Pesci's nastiness, for rainy days...God, those two are some of the best wise guys ever; right up there with Edward G. Robinsson and Cagney.

Elegance?:

Lawrence Olivier and Henry Fonda.

Spontaneity?:

How about Jack Lemmon and Robin Williams'?

LOL

PS

Don't get me started? Which I think it way too late...

Am I the only here who remembers Rita Moreno on the kids' show 'The Electric Company', on PBS following Sesame Street? Remember Morgan Freeman was a regular on the show as well?
