He should be fired or quit. He abused his position and would be all over anyone else caught. Hypocrite.

What is now coming out. Some have said that Sarah Palin should get another apology since this scandal broke. Now Fox News played it smart and not reported with Letterman. A wise move but CNN and CNN/headlines news the lady broadcasters have been ripping into Letterman. Now is CBS damaged? That's another angle that could be examined.

David is guilty of being a cad....CBS can only gauge the impact of his behavior and its impact on his ratings and CBS'S reputation as a whole.

His studio audience and his audience as a whole laughing uproariously at his revelations and consequences of his behavior was very strange though.

Like the Roman Polanski issue or the Clinton/Lewinski fiasco these guys usually get defended for crappy behavior because of their political leanings.

I don't feel that he is a total jerk though....I am not a fan of his, but he is being a man and facing the public and his family in a seemingly honest manner and taking full responsibility for his behavior.

Unlike Bill Clinton who was in the drivers seat of his scandal the whole time. Bill could have driven a stake into his affairs by settling on the front end of his court case and taken a few lumps in the process and been an adult about it. Instead a rightfully frightened intern had to keep a be-spackled blue dress squireled away for a rainy day.

Letterman sealed his fate when he became a puppet for the liberal left. You liberals can never live the life that you preach. Liars and pedophiles. Use your own media to spew your hollow message and then turn out to be all that you proclaim to be against. Letterman is just a tool. He's a bitter, shell of a former funnyman who is left with nothing but name calling as a career. I turned him off years ago, and many more have and will continue to. Bye bye Dave!

Humor, celebrity, and politics aside. CBS settled a big lawsuit with the EEOC in 2000. Are they ready for more of them? If they don't enforce their own company policies about sexual realtions with subordinates then they are in big trouble.

Sarah Palin don't deserve squat she is just as bad as David Letterman and still trying to persuade the stupid public she is savy when it comes to our world affairs! Hell it don't take a smart person to see if she can't control her own brood what the hell could she do for America, not to mention if she or this idiot had anything going for them they would not have been in something this nasty! David & Sarah both are Full of BULL and anyone who think either of these two are worth listening to is just as full of it!

Perhaps you are right, but if the potential lawsuits outweigh the revenue from the show then the money will be against him also. Either way, if I was CBS I would be quietly looking for a replacement.

Since blackmail,a personal dairy by one of his assassitants, this story is far from over. In the news coverage there is a lock of speculation. But I'm going to take a wait and see. Speaking of retirements, one of the CBS execs who was close to the president of the network is stepping down and my first thought it was over Letterman but she said she was moving on.

Letterman has a serious anti-social personality.
People are just widgets to him.

I bet most can't even see it, because the culture is rotten to the core.

Now go self-medicate yourself!

Actually it makes the people watching him look pretty stupid. Of course these are the same people that watched hours and hours of the same coverage of Michael Jackson's body being taken out of his house.

If I correctly read the news, the affair(s) wasn't a one-time problem. One of his affairs was over a 5 yr period!
