`Dukes Of Hazzard' Gets A Yankee Snub

The NAACP should be thanking the Dukes of Hazzard for giving the Confederate Flag a positive image instead of the negative image a few rascist people had given it.

Southern rednecks are the only politically correct stereotype allowed, and the the clowns and targets of ridicule portrayed in Dukes were all white.

I'm suprised then, that the NAACP should have a problem with a Dukes theme, since they hate whites almost as much as the producers of the show.

Hey mister I don't think so there was a ton of black people who were on the dukes as the Actors/ stuntmen too all of them like The Dukes of Hazzard and are proud of they're work on The Dukes of Hazzard and The TV show itself and everything else about it! YEEHAW! and I also think that you are the one who's Racist!

I am from Canada, the most multicultural country in the world. I was shocked and saddened by this untrue, disgusting, defamatory statement. I never heard any racial comment on the show or any from the actors outside the show. It is nothing but backward racism. The Confederate flag proudly hangs in my home. To me it represents independence and freedom. It comes from my Scottish ancestry.
The Dukes are part of my family. I will stand up for my family!!!

They are running out of attention tactics, and resorting to desperate measures now. Their reason for existing is getting slimmer and slimmer, I wonder what they will think of next. CDC you are exactly right. I watched the show for years and never once did they make any racist remarks, slurs, nothing. The only prejudice in the whole show was anybody named DUKE, and they were WHITE...Hogg was white, Rosco was white and they were all after the WHITE Dukes. They had black AND white singers they would give speeding tickets to and make them do a concert at the Hog's Nest before they were allowed to leave. The NAACP needs to regroup and get their act together, they are starting to look like bigger idiots than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. (IF that is possible)

I love the Dukes of Hazzard, and I'm not racist! I dont understand what they are talking about. The show teaches good morals and not to judge people on any level, including color of skin. The General Lee is just a symbol of the south, and anyone that doesn't like it can get over it because the show was out in the 80s!
