I can't believe Moonlight has been canceled.. They keep toying with my emotions.. Two years ago when Close To Home was axed, I swore that I would never watch it's replacement show (Moonlight) I tried not to, but I was watching Ghost Whisperer, fell asleep and woke up in the middle of Moonlight and I was hooked..

I'm not going to do the same thing this year though.. even if I did start to like Moonlight replacement, it's just going to be canceled.

As a last thing, Close To Home was my absolute favorite show when it was on.. I would never miss an episode.. I miss that show

Why would CBS would cancel a
terrific show like moonlight..
it was one of a kind... it took
CSI a couple of years to be the hit it is and I know I have watched that show from the start.
CBS should rethink it's decision.

Tom - Yes. Shark was cancelled. It's in the same story with the moonlight cancellation that's linked to this story.
Becky - Friday night 9 p.m. is NOT a death slot. Close to Home drew more than 10 million viewers in that slot two seasons ago and *it* was cancelled. Moonlight was nearly three million viewers lower than that. THREE MILLION. Those are the facts. They're simple to read. And CBS also cancelled Shark, which averaged several million more viewers. It's a numbers game.

Gavin-- Shark was not concelled, just moved to a different time slot... and tho it is an interesting show... it does not have the pazzaz that Moonlight
has... the story line is unusual and lets faceit
alex is much beter to look at that than James. there are a ton trial/lawyer show... but not too many
'one step beyond' shows ... moonlight and supernatual ar both great. fan in SATX

Nope. CSI was a hit right out of the gate. It became a BIGGER hit as time went along.

"Seinfeld" is the example of the show that needed time to grow its audience that everybody uses. Or "Cheers." The fact that the same shows are used in EVERY example means something: The number of shows that take a long time to find their audience is actually very small. The number of low-rated shows that were brought back to see if they could find an audience that never found an audience and were cancelled is HUGE.

Because instead of letting Moonlight develop, CBS would reather try something new and try their luck with The Ex List. I wouldnt watch the Ex List right away because it could turn into the next Moonlight and get axed.

I remember this time last year. CBS was hyping up it's new fall schedule claiming that it would be so un-CBS that the network was sure to pull in viewers.

Now look at what's happened. CBS failed, and now they're going back to CBS-style programming. It is nice to see another block devoted to comedy, though. I wonder how long that will last.

And the whole war on Survivor: What Daniel is trying to say is that there are always two Survivor series per year. The argument about The Amazing Race being the same idea is bogus because that show is give-or-take based on ratings. If Zap2It knows for certain that there will be two Survivor series (with cold-hard history to back it up) alongside the press release doing the same, then you must understand that 8/7C Thursday is the "Survivor" slot.

CBS should have brought back Old Christine in the Wednesday 8pm Comedy slot back last year instead of airing Kid Nation.

I sure won't be watching the Ex-List - the premise and the acting looks terrible and I doubt that I will watch Numb3rs this year either as it follows the Ex-List. There are lots of better shows to watch on other networks that look more interesting and entertaining. Bring Back MOONLIGHT.

My family is really disappointed to learn you will not be bringing Moonlight back. It had great characters and interesting plots. Hope you reconsider.

The networks do what they want and it has nothing to do with the watching public. They serve us up stupid comedy shows, reality shows etc and tell us we like it because it saves them money. They tease us with good shows to get us to watch their channel and then cancel the show. Then expect us to stay tuned in for the crap they serve us next. As far as I am concerned the "Neilson Ratings" are going to households with IQ's no bigger than their belt size. Can you tell I am not happy!?
