Famous People from the Lehigh Valley

In the 70's and 80's when the World Wrestling Federation was still a regional East Coast promotion a lot of guys would rent homes here for reasons of convenience. They worked the East Coast corridor mainly NY, NJ, Philly, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Boston, and all the small cities in the region. The TV tapings were done in Allentown at Agricultural Hall and the Fieldhouse in Hamburg Pa. It was easy for the boys to make 2-3 hrs treks and then drive home. The shows out in Pittsburgh and up in New England may have required lodging or the need to fly but mostly they were able to drive home each night.


When Vince Mcmahon went national Afa Anoia, Salvatore Bellomo, and Rocky Johnson were at the end of their runs and they decided to stay in the area.

Jay and the Techniques. Triple K, what is the story with the Box Tops? I know Alex Chilton was from Memphis but did'nt Lehigh Valley musicians end up in the band?

What about the Cyrkle who sang "Red Rubber Ball?" I heard they were from here also.

Radical one here we go , the Cyrkle were from Layfette Kutztown college together they had that hit, My 1st cousin was the keyboard player for the Scott Bedford four and the "Count Five" Physoctic reaction song, Longo from Bill Haleys comets did a stint with the box tops and he is from Effort Pa, where Chilton resided for a time as well, ALSO Rosie and the originals (MY ANGEL BABY), Rosie Hamlin resided not far from me but now moved back to her Native California,years ago and is not in good health last time we emailed .. So we have been blessed with lots of talent here both musically and sports as well, what about the kid on Home Improvment as well

Jay is still alive and well, living in A-town.
Tommy Crist from Slim Pickens/later just Pickens was from the Sprial Staircase. Not from here but lived here a long time.
Where is Slim Pickens?? Great band!

Ken Bussiere and Dave Ferrara of the Original Sins toured as Peter Noone's backing band. They still might but Im not sure. Speaking of the Original Sins they were the greatest rock band in Lehigh Valley history! All hail John Terlesky JT! Whoo! Hoo!!!
