Sex and the City
Charisse: Too much sex in this city
I'm one of those underprivileged Americans - a basic-cable subscriber who's apparently missed out on a large slice of the popular culture.

The TV show and the movie are about ditzy, urban, air-headed (regardless of education or career) wannabe-hos. And SJP's schnozzola has always turned me off.

The asterisks above were inserted by the e-mail censor to replace the plural of the word Santa Claus uses three times when he laughs.

And how many times did you watch the show Jeff? Why does this show and movie bother you so much? If you don't like it, don't go see it. You don't need to start a blog about it. Maybe you could start a blog about global warming, eh? |

It has been duely noted, the article and rude comments were left by...men. Possibly because they are offended by the points brought up in both the show and the movie about certain "issues" women have with men?
This show offers humor and talks about issues normally women would be embarrassed to discuss! The movie and the show were both enlightening, refreshing and hilarious. The men that wrote this article and comments - GET A LIFE! Quit wasting time complaining about a movie and show that was intended for REAL women! |

I am a woman and I think the Sex and the City movie and t.v. show are both stupid and demeaning to women (and men) in general.
Real life does not revolve around such petty and immoral issues that glamorize casual affairs. |
|
|
I'm sorry you feel that way, but obviously most real women do not feel that way - the figures from the movie prove that.
Real life doesn't "revolve" around "immoral" issues as you call them, real life is dealing with issues that do involve sexual experiences, infidelity, women juggling careers with social experiences and families, etc. That's what the movie and show are about. Obviously you are from a very different generation. |
|
I am under 30. Having morals - and still enjoying being a woman in EVERY way including sex - has nothing to do with a specific generation but rather with being classy rather then slutty. Sure, many women watch the show - but I bet most would not ACT like that. The shows are FICTION and are meant to be entertainment - not a way of life. Get a life McSherrystown. |

I think the show is way overrated. The characters are whiny and ridiculous and take themselves way too serious. And SJP's outfits are stupid. I lived in NYC for years... real New Yorkers have much more common sense and don't act like a bunch of morons on hormones like that.

What church are you witting for.(Nothing wrong with church, feel free to worship, we are in America and whatever you believe in, it is ok) Half of the population revolves around such petty and immoral issues that glamorize casual affairs. The other half, feels these issues to be garbage and immoral. You are not speaking for all of the population, only part. |
