So, I will admit that the second "Sex and the City" movie isn't a great film. I went.

Claudia, I keep hearing that the Gores were perhaps spending too much time apart, that their busy schedules were taking them in different directions.

Every couple needs to find that balance (which keeps changing). I personally don't think I'd love my husband more if I spent more time away from him, but that's just me. We do end up occasionally spending time apart, just in the course of things (business trips, etc), but I don't feel it affects our marriage one way or the other. Although I do think that the fact that either of us feels fine about spending some time away (I recently went on a vacation with a woman friend and both of our daughters) is a good thing. It may be more about the freedom and support to do that type of thing than how often we actually do it.

And perhaps that neither of us is remotely interested in "Sex and the City 2" (but we highly recommend "The Secret in Their Eyes" at the Del Mar).

in order to keep a marriage you must know how to be honest and fight for it at the right moment.
I have seem many people holding grunges with their spouses for months because they don't have the communication skills to tell what bothers them and to ask for changes...that to me is crazy since any relationship worth keeping is essential to be honest and strait forward.
sex and the city did touch some of the conflicts with find in marriage and I like that.. I think no body tell us how void a relationship can feel as years go by and the sparkles losses its brightness all we hear is how wonderful long marriages are but what it takes to keep it still a taboo.
maybe the gores are tired of pretending they have a relationship, maybe they are bored with each other I know I will be bored with a guy who wants to be in the spotlight 24-7 and has little time for romance much less a good meaningful quality time together.
good for her maybe now she can stop playing second field and write a book or go to an adventure in the amazon jungle or the common one get a boyfriend half her age.
