lol I love this article. I also think the show/movies are a joke. What is it teaching our young American girls? To be promiscuous and spend too much on clothes.

No wonder men in other countries think American women are all superficial and easy.

Started out as supposedly empowering for women, but now it's just another stereotypical portrayal.

I watched two or three shows back when it all started trying to see what the big deal was but I couldn't relate to it at all. I have never owned anything Prada nor do I have a desire to. I would get sick to my stomach paying that much for shoes.

i have to confess to owning a pair of Dior knee length black boots which i know cost a few hundred pounds,,,,, but in my defense ,,,, they were a gift,,,,, but i wouldn't have paid that much for them.

Some basic investment pieces aren't too bad to pay more for. I have a leather jacket I paid quite a bit for but I've had it for three years now.

Trendy items that will go out of style in a few months are a waste of money.

i agree totally,,,,,, some of my friends have children and pay astounding amounts of money for their clothes,,,,,, we are talking 300 quid just for an outfit without the hair bits and shoes,,,,, as long as my boys are clean warm and "in fashion" i don't care :)

What drives me nuts are those jeans that are tore up and wore out they pay big bucks for. They look like they are ready for the rag bin.
