Valerie Harper dishes on her role as Tallulah Bankhead in 'Looped'

It's Valerie Harper under that wig, and the character she's playing in Looped is quick with a wicked quip, but Tallulah Bankhead is no Rhoda Morgenstern. Full Story

I love how the Sun-Sentinal gives Mr. Hirschman the room to write about famous people coming in to do shows in theatres that probably have something of a budget for advertising and promotion, but not so much room for the local regional theatre scene. A group that has, in recent years, become one of the strongest in the country.

I know the papers are going through a tough time and that cutbacks are an unfortunate necessity, but why don't you let Valerie Harper's name do her advertising and use your resources to serve the actual South Florida Theatre community that needs you desperately.

I understand this is a business, but let's not give up on the concept that the press can be used for good. To promote the community and connect the readers to the resources around them that they may not be aware of yet because the papers and news outlets are out covering Lebron James' birthday party on South Beach which none of us are actually able to attend.

Happy New Year.
