'What Not To Wear': Jersey Girl Won't Lose Her 'Duck Nails'
Stacy London and Clinton Kelly certainly had their hands full with Tristen, a Jersey girl who loves attention, on " What Not to Wear ." She's also a bit of a fashion trendsetter, at least according to her.

My friend is the manicurist in the episode who did Tristen's nails. Please check out her website: http://www.juliekandalec.com/

Am I the only one who thinks Stacy and Clinton are a couple of bullies? This specific episode was the worst - they were even more belligerent and insulting than ever, and their brand of "tough love," consisting of ganging up and shouting at the client, regularly crosses the line, and they make themselves look really ugly doing it.
Also, honestly, they often give "fashion advice" that make me want to shout "WTF"?? They fail to respect the core personality of the client (if a woman has a more bohemian instinct, RESPECT THAT). Did they really think this poor girl didn't look like crap in those ugly cowprint leggings? And that HIDEOUS NECKLACE at the end? YUCK. None of the clothes she was wearing at the end looked any more expensive or sophisticated than a lot of what she already owned - including and especially the stilleto shoes. Geez - they throw out whole perfectly good wardrobes, then have the client spends thousands of dollars on a few pieces. How is that at all smart?
And their own clothes! Holy crap! In this episode, Clinton looked like a sausage in that blue blazer and the too-tight pants. Tracy was a blobby middle-aged chick trying to look "young." They haven't aged gracefully, and it looks like Clinton had some plastic done. What was Stacy thinking about adding that streak to her hair that makes her look even more ancient?
The hairdresser was also a bully. God, this show just makes me want to cringe, whenever I happen to see it. I watch it with fascinated horror almost the whole time.

I couldn't agree more with everything you say! I hadn't seen this program for a while, primarily because I'm still a bit ticked off that this pair replaced the BBC hosts who were much more knowledgeable, witty and humane, in my opinion.
Still, it's fun to see make-overs, but it's more difficult when Stacy and Clinton are quite frankly inept and crude. That plastic necklace - REALLY?!!! I wondered if I was just biased, and THAT thing appeared. Case closed. ha.
I felt so sorry for the gal who got the haircut that made her cry. That brought to mind a thought that I wonder if anyone else has noticed. It seems that everyone gets their hair sheered off - like it or not. However, Tracy has had the same boring long 'blah' hair with a grey skunk stripe FOREVER. Tell me the hairdresser wouldn't like to get a hold of that mess with a clippers!
