I have no idea what happened to my internet connection... It just hung (the posting was long, so it took longer than usual) so i clicked twice... Fortunately it wasn't more. Sorry!

About your response: I don't know what you are responding to. In fact, I don't know how this relate to my earlier response. I think you are referring to one of your earlier posts.

But, for the record, I wasn't trying to drag anybody through the mud. It is more about countering one of your earlier points (to which my earlier post responded). Either intelligence definition, either the one I provided or the one you provided, both say that the President is a talented individual. So, my point was to argue that is yet to early to say if that talent translates into success (the ultimate test of excellence). So, I aimed at the topic from the point of view that nobody should command him for something he has yet to accomplish (aka the success). In fact, I agree with your point: winning an election is a function of electability and populist acceptance. It is not a function of potential (as the voters don't go that deep into the decision making process and is rather superficial, misinformed). Evidence of that is GWB.

I hope this helps clarify.

Thanks,

, to some degree u, very capable

Wow, Gator, Three of the exact long-winded posts. I thought you would be too smart to make an error like that. Sorry, I had a typo. and you dragged me through the mud, so I couldn't resist. Also knowledge of a few "Big" words is not the sign of intelligence either. Usually people who are walking Thesaurus flaunt these words to hide their shortcomings. Have you ever heard Einstein talk. No one would argue his intelligence. He rarely spoke to people using words that clearly expressed what he was trying to get across.
Let's get this out of the way. Webster's Dictionary defines Intelligence as the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situation.
Finally, my argument was about the fact that President Obama was criticized for being an below average student, because he supposedly never relinquished his grade. Not that he is a good leader of this country. Winning an election does not prove he will be a good president. Bush is a fine example of that. He won twice and will go down in history as one of the worst Presidents ever.
I will support our President, and I hope he has what it takes to get our country through this. I hope he, his cabinet, and congress (both Republicans and Democrats) can pull together and bring this nation back to the greatness.

Ouch... I meant "commend" (not command) and "yet too early" (not "yet to early).

Anyways...

I have watched this video and he claims to be a comedian. I only thought the serious side of this act was funny. I will give my view of how the Conservative Cristian Side thinks. This should let all of you Liberals in how how these people think.
You can not win an argument with a Conservative. They do not use logic and facts. They rely on faith not facts. Facts do not matter. This is why they listen to people like Rush Limbaugh and his conspiracies, lies, and half truths and believe him. A person who literally believes all the animals in the world were able to fit in an boat, will believe anything. I am not an atheist, but I try not to take the Bible as a historical document. To me it is mostly a collection of stories, that God gave us to teach right from wrong. The problem is that organized religions, are using certain parts of the Bible to enrich themselves, while ignoring parts that would help humanity. Have you noticed that all the big issues in politics, that the Religious Right feels are so important, have to do with keeping their religions populated. Abortion, gay rights, and euthanasia, all deal with population. They want to have as many followers as possible to keep their pay checks coming in. The other issues Creationism and prayer in school have to do with forcing others to be assimilated into their religion. Organized Religion has brain washed these people's minds and they can no longer think on their own. They no longer think independently. It's not about facts its about faith. Christian Fundamentalist are far more dangerous to this country than are their mortal enemies the Fundamentalist Muslims, because they are already here in our country killing people in the name of God. Jesus taught us to love, all people. Lessons like this and "Thou Shall Not Kill" are conveniently ignored my them. They love to cherry-pick the sections of the bible that suit their needs, but they do not like to live by the Golden Rule, but I digress. The Right has been brain washed into not using facts to solve problems, but faith. This is why they cannot argue like a normal person. This is why they use conspiracies and half to make up "facts". They also like to follow and quote loud mouth preacher types like Rush. Please God, I hope you can save us from these sinners that kill in your name.
you really think it's faith they rely on? I think it's hopelessness.
The Bible, "mostly a collection of stories" and "NOT a historical document"? Why don't you minimize God's Word and remove it's historical value?
You have a point about "organized religion" that I can not refute.
I completely agree with you to ask God to save us from those who will not save themselves.
To live in this particular axis in time and to stay the course of intentional sin just does not seem prudent.
