Although Jesus has been found to be a historical person:

1. There's no reason to believe that Noah, Moses and Goliath are not also historical persons.
2. There's reason to believe that the the story in Exodus is based on historical facts.
3. There's no evidence to support miraculous events related to Jesus' life.

In short there is no historical evidence to support any religious beliefs although there is some historical evidence for events that are detailed in scripture.

The nation of Israel can trace its root as far back as any other nation of the ancient world. To say Israel has no place in the 21st century is as valid as saying the America has no place, and I hear no one saying that. There is historical proof for all the “fairy tales” of the bible, this discounts the any doubt. Why do so many pro-terror organisations try so hard to disprove Israel’s history, if they put the same effort into trying to prove it the world would be amazed as to what is found. The world gives more credence to a non nation (the Palestinians) than it does to a truly historic nation Israel. For many thousands of years many people have tried to annul Israel and its place in history – none have succeeded, nor will the pro-terror press of today. Israel will stand.

whos talking about palestinians? biblical scholars debunked all the old testament myths on pbs end of story, and the dead sea scrolls proved that jews worshipped many gods up untill 100 bc,those are just facts. are you a rabid extremist going to dispute real biblical scholars and aecheologists with MORE fairy tales.its the 21st century youve missed the boat.only jesus has been shown to be a real person and the dead sea scrolls bear out his coming 140 years before he arrived

If the “Old Testament” or better put the largest part of your Bible is false and only “Fairy tales” then your Jesus (by the way his real name was Yeshua) could not be the messiah because with no law there is no need for a messiah. I would gladly debate with any of your so called biblical scholars on the truth or fiction of their claims. Read the whole Bible and you will see that G_d punished Israel for it’s worship, read a bit more and you will see that G_d himself told them they would, this point is not up for debate, as it is written in the Bible. But hay you don’t believe it so you don’t believe G_d’s own words. The Dead Sea Scrolls you continually refer to are in fact the biblical books most of them with a few parts missing. And yes Torah foretold of the coming Messiah long before 140 year prior to his coming. If your so called Biblical Scholars read and believed their Bibles, the Word of G_d then they would not be spending so much time trying to disprove it.

Do some more reading my friend and you too can learn, try reading the Bible first learn it live it and you will stop being so misguided. Have a good day.

There is absolutely no historical evidence of Jesus Christ. In fact, the evidence points to the Jesus myth being a combination of stories about multiple shamans of the time.

Yes read how god commands his people to commit murder, rape, genocide, slavery, etc. Anyone who reads the OT and worships its twisted psychotic god needs to be put away as they are sick perverts.

Don't get me wrong. I don't believe in that religious nonsense; however, I wouldn't be even slightly surprised to find that there were historical people on whose lives the fables of "Holy" books are based. There is evidence that a man named Jesus once lived. You might not find it compelling but it does exist.

Consult the Jesus Project, a scientific historical study of Jesus and the early Christian movement. Other than the New Testament there are no historical records of Jesus. Xtians often quote Pliny and Josephus but it was discovered decades ago that the references to Jesus in their text were added hundreds of years after the writing by priest. The New Testament is not reliable as it is written many decades after the supposed events by people who were not witness to them. It was then heavily edited and changed by clergy to fit their agenda.

The conclusion by the scholars was that Jesus represents several Jewish shaman of the time (they were a dime a dozen during that period). Reading his teachings you can find deep influences from Buddhism and other eastern religions.

The actual Jesus myth is a copy of the oldest and most prolific myth of humanity. The earliest known version was Horace of Egypt. The myth of the virgin birth, ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection is repeated over and over. Most of it is symbolic reference to seasonal planting and harvest dates, information needed by agricultural societies, and taught and passed down orally through the myth.

Hope this helps.

This goes for both of your pathetic posts, you are only showing your ignorance of history and fact. Your a pitiful person who needs to look at your self before posting such rubbish. Learn the facts for yourself do not rely on western media to teach you lies. Sorry to say but you are wrong on all counts.

I don't get what you mean, OLD me not quite, at the end of my life G_d willing not Quite. This Jesus you talk of only came into existance around 300 CE, you see his real name was Yeshua he was an orthodox Jewish man and lived that way his entire life. Do some reshearch and find out for your self.

You are aware that there's no more evidence to support the "magic" in the Qu'ran than there is for the "magic" in the Old Testament. The God of Abraham is a Bronze Age fable for which people are still dying. It's pathetic.

I think that scripture is interesting from an anthropological perspective and has even had some value as a historical text for archaeologists. I don't believe that the tales in the Bible are accurate in any sense of the term. I am an atheist.

You're preaching to the choir although I think that denying that Jesus lived is contrary to the historical record. That being said, there are a lot of people who wanted evidence that he had lived and that can always skew findings...

More people believe in Hinduism which predates Christianity, as well as Buddhism and Taoism. So their evidence is greater than yours.

Belief is not evidence, or are you saying there really is a Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, and Easter Bunny?

Well Colin the idiot, I clearly stated the facts. You on the other hand state no facts and do not even try to overturn mine. Instead you just insult and act self righteous.

It is clear to anyone the you are full of it, and further that you know you are wrong. that is the source of your anger at being shown a fool.

Pick out one single fact that you think support the Bible as history and not myth and we can discuss it like adults. Otherwise, you are dismissed junior.
