Senior goes on a bike ride with the whole shop, talks about mikey and paul jr, what he thinks needs to be done, with the biggest bunch of --- kissers in the state of new york. Then he objects to sitting with mikey and a therapist. Senior does not want to have any reconciliation, that is very evident. These are his children, I would move heaven and hell to bring my children back to me. Senior just wants to feel sorry for himself. Before the bike ride he asked Jason for advice, Jason No.1 ---kisser in the shop, with mike second. But senior won't speak to a therapist with mikey. Get real senior paul and mikey are your family. not the --- kissers in the shop.Senior grow up who do you want a your funeral, your family or a bunch of ---kissers, your choice.

There are so many sides to this. There is my gut feeling that Yes I would move heaven and earth to save any relationship with my kids.

But if the kids are not willing to meet half way. How could I go and force them to make nice with me unless they are ready. It is a process, dealing with attitudes and feelings etc. Mike has made appointments before with sr and has not shown up. Mike is a flake and jr is greedy. It is so easy for us to sit here and say what he should do and what we would do. But it is thier life and it is something they have to work through.

I do not blame sr for how he reacted to jr. Jr has pushed the buttons from the start. Jr knew what he was to do and he refused to do them. So why is sr the bad guy?

Do not get me wrong I am not on sr's side. I think he has a lot to overcome. He has his problems. But the boys do too. He did a bad job of parenting and now he has to live with what he did. So yes that is his fault. But the boys are adults and they spent how much time under thier mother care and guidance? So who is really to blame They all are.

But I have the most trouble with lazy and greedy and they is what I call jr.

I have watched the show since the beginning, and to be honest the only reason I enjoyed watching the show was to see Pauly, Mickey, and Vinny! I think Paul Jr. is the creative talent, Micky the humor, and Vinny is the rational good guy. Senior is loud, annoying, prideful, and I have never seen him assemble one bike(start to finish). He just collects the checks and takes credit for others work! I would much rather watch Junior over Senior any day. As a parent myself, I believe Senior needs to get his personal and spiritual life in check and quick, life is to short! Enjoy the gifts God gave you-- Your children and suck up your pride!

Great Post - But My only comment is there is a time when the Children become Adults and if all are working as adults and it is a business venture Then the Family thing does sort of move to the back ground a little.

I just see them as busines partners that are having a conflict at first Then I saw one of them wanting more than he deserved. Then I saw all of them with childish tempers and they all need to shut up and meet together and plan a future together.

Jr is not the real talent in my book That si the only thing I disagree with. He sez he is the talent But I dont see it. My reasoning is that if he was Why has his Design Firm Failed so Badly? If you remember the show where he was designing his Logo? Sitting by the stream in his back yard Pencil and paper in hand. Staring at paper on lap... Nothing is done but scribbleing. Then Rachael comes to see where he was cuz he had been gone so long - In ten Min or so She has the Logo Designed - But as Usual He takes the credit. Also his Coleman design was redone by Coleman becasue he was too present in the barbque. Meaning his logo was larger than theirs and was in a spot of preference for the Manufacture not the designer. So Coleman had to make it smaller and move it to the side. Also his redesign was so expensive they could not make it and make a profit. So He sez he is the talent But I do not see it. Sorry I know I am in the minority But I am saying what I see I am not emoionally attached to any of them (At ALll).

But I really liked your post.( Yep I know so what!)

Life will continue and if your that interested in there personal problems than you can take a bus back to upper state New York and check out there business personally. You might see Mickey on the corner with a pan handling sign stating that he was once a famous artist and now needs money for food or sex. Get a life!!!

Won't happen, SR thinks he is the only one that is right, every one else is wrong, it's that simple,

Senior right----------Everyone else wrong

The bikes are garbage. They don't hold up and are nothing more than a pile of parts assembled on a bike rack. Overpriced and full of hype. As for the family, Mikey is nothing more than a fat, lazy drunk whose only claim to fame is playing the family clown,

sr is nothing but a big bully. all his employees are affraid of him. no one stands up to him in any way beacuse of loss of thier jobs. i do not understand how a father can do what he is doing to his sons. the way he runs a bussiness . yells and insults people right in front of others? that is wrong. he doesnt want to make mends with his sons beacuse he knows he is wrong. and how can a bussiness that big be worth nothing???

Saw the episode where Sr dawns a suite, looks very different, like a pin striped johnson. You know this would be much more fun if the OCC cast members were readers, which they are not, I doubt many, if any,of then graduated from high school, they may not be able to read fluently. We wonder what is wrong with the good old U.S.A.? Look no further than what TV we are obsessed with.

Ya know i have missed a lot of episodes but that gave me a dif perspective on the whole situation.I watched all of them in the beginning and comparing the beginning to now the only dif is that they have taken ther fights just one step further. Use to be SR would complain to JR bout petty S**t and JR would lash back then by the end of the episode they would be laughing and life would be great.do it all again next week.Once you add the cameras...fame...money and above all else millions of fans boosting your image(ego) to the mix it just amplifys things.its like adding a gallon of gas to a pit fire.....

I don't know what show you all are watching ,but let me tell you if your in bussiness you lead by example and that means being on time (period).
Also you don't reporman a fellow employe in front of everyone else. When i had a employees that was cronicly late just send him home with no pay untill he can make it ontime ! At first i thought this was a gimmic for the tv ratings sorry to say i guess i;m wrong. Remember it is very hard to work with family. And if jr. has the tallent you say then he'll prospier, but i doubt it.(bad work ethic). Former concrete contractor...

Okay, there are some angry peeps on here! TV is for entertainment, bike-building and drama- all the same-- entertainment. How ever in my opinion a lot less entertaining without the interesting dynamics of the "family" relationships. I also enjoy watching "DIY" shows, and I enjoy watching the dramatics behind the scenes. If a carpenter gets cut, or a window fall two stories (by accident) out a window... this is entertainment. Many of you guys are into the logistics and "business" part of this show, which I see it more from a TV executive or producers view as well... what will get us too keep watching... "more drama"!!! However, I am done watching the show. And thank you "Saddled Sore" for enjoying my earlier post!

My family has been builing trikes for over 20 years, Mostly just for the family to use. I'm a welder by trade and my Uncle is a self-taught enginner. We enjoy looking at custom bikes and watching "Biker Build-off" a lot. That being said, I could go to a dozen custom bike builders that don't have multi-million dollars shops, Fabricating machines worth thousands of dollars and a drama-filled shop and get a bike built for me that cost half what OCC or JR Designs charge. Sr. and Jr say they are builers of custom bikes. What a joke!! Someone else makes the frames, they just bolt-on or make crap to hang on the bike and call it "custom". For what they charge, I'll buy
3-4 REAL customs and still save money.

I 100% agree trikeman! The point ive been making on here FOREVER has been, why would JR spend ALL that money putting the latest machines in his shop when he didnt even have the first build lined up? And Like you Trikeman, For what OCC is getting for a "production" bike, I could afford to buy myself and the wife a niccceee custom bike and STILL have enough cash leftover to go to Bikeweek in Daytona and have a GREAT time! The ONLY reason I tend to side with SR over JR is the fact that i do believe SR to have a much better work ethic than his lazy ass sons have, but thts pretty much the only difference between SR and JR in my opinion,

True, so true. I think that if you don't acually make parts to make bike instead of parts to go on the bike, you're not building it, you are just putting bling on it and letting someone else build it.
