it's legendary. listened to it in NH every summer.
caught the Red Wings and local news from hundreds of miles away.
I was mesmerized as a kid that we could hear our "hometown" station.
then, the beans counters cometh.
and destroyed what the legends built.
kinda like Mr. Obama.

I am sure that some big manager that does not live in Rochester got a bonus for this decision. He will be long gone when they find out it was the wrong decision and they have distroyed the Beth and Chet team and the morning show. Hope Chet can keep it together.

I believe Bill Lowe was also let go. He was there longer than any of them. Clear Channel is the personification of corporate greed. Our religion is capitalism, and the perpetual pursuit of more is one of its basic tenets. We the People are our own worst enemy.

It seems like these stations just take the best and the brightest and show them the door once their salaries get too big. Beth was outstanding and she will be missed. Who's next? Another good reason to have a back-up plan.

Good luck to Beth. The only reason I listen to WHAM each day is because of the morning show. Both Chet and Beth worked off of eachother. I hope a great many others, as will I, will change to another station for their morning news, or at least NOT support any advertisers on that radio station. Sorry to those advsertisers who are trying to make a living, but it is only through those $ that the community has a voice. If ratings drop, then maybe Beth will be back. It worked for the lunatic Lonsberry....WHAM is not losing 1/2 of the monring show, but 2/3. 1/3 was the to Chet, 1/3 to Beth, and 1/3 to the team as a whole.
I do not know her personally, just from years of listening every morning. Then I forget to turn the station and WHAM ends up playing in my office 24/7. I will be making a change now. Anyone have any ideas on a good morning show that offers local news? And no, not WEASE, as I did state GOOD.

I would gather that Alan brother Wease el Levin is not feeling very safe right now.But that is what happens when you gamble big on starting over.I can see the Bean Counters looking at the cost of the show he is on and cutting him loose.Lets start a Tommy and Wease el reunion count down clock right now.I wonder if Tommy would agree to work with him after what happened before.Time will tell

So how long will it be before they get rid of Chet and the morning show? They just screwed up the morning show for good and probably will loose lots of listeners soon. Smart move bean counters. Its sounds like Kodak. They spin off all the winners and keep the duds until they finally have bankrupted the place with poor moves. Then they move on to the next company to wreck. Most of the bean counters have no clue what they are doing.
