Gale Storm dies: actress from B movies found success on TV

Gale Storm, whose wholesome appearance and perky personality made her one of early television's biggest stars on My Little Margie and The Gale Storm Show , has died at age 87.

My family and I met and became friends with this amazing woman. She was faithful to her God and loyal to her fans.
Full of life and cheerfulness and so much love. There will never be one like her again.

Gale Storm was my childhood idol and became one of my closest friends in the past 20 years. She truly loved her fans...she called them 'friends' and they really were. She never forgot one of her fan-friends birthdays and called to sing "Happy Birthday" to them. How many people can say that their favorite singer called them on their birthday just to sing to them? She was one of a kind. She will be missed so much by those of us who knew her and loved her. And if you were a fan and didn't know her personally, take heart in knowing that the Gale you saw on television was very much like the Gale we knew and loved. She was intelligent, witty, and loving. The most wonderful person I ever knew. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
