the things that have made Tony successful are not working on Monday Night Football. It just does not paly well in the format of football game commentary. He is always in conflict with Theisman-there is no real good and take there and it painful to listen to. We hope ESPN has this figured out better for next year-sorry Tony-

He's the biggest problem with the new Monday Night Football. Tony's in conflict with everyone. But he cannot be blamed for ruining MNF alone. It's become like having someone poke you in the forehead while you're trying to watch the game. I have to admit I had become so fond of Madden/Michaels MNF, that I can't help but be somewhat biased. Those guys weren't fighting each other to get mike time and didn't dwell on things other than the game being played. You might hear a good BBQ story, or something about coaches wearing visors vs. hats, but it was always good commentary. That being said, the new MNF spends more time talking about what they perceive to be problem players in the league or tv commercials that a player is making. I want to hear about the game. If you can't talk about the game, then talk about pies or something that makes me want to eat, drink and watch football. Madden and Michaels knew that people didn't care about how many commercials player x made. We don't want to hear the announcers point out flaws in players characters. We want to watch some frickin football, drink a few beers, eat some food, laugh, yell, etc. These guys are turning MNF into an overly dramatic egofest. That format works well when the game is not in progress, but I just wish they would spend less time talking about their NFL theories and more about the game.

Tony Kornheiser has no business being on MNF. His single minded focus on contriving to create controversy through his forced negativity is completely out of place during the broadcast of a game. Joe Theisman lost his job because of his unwillingness to foster Kornheiser's "tabloid" nonsense. Have a little class ESPN and give Tony the boot from MNF. He can still do his thing on PTI.

Kornheiser is awful . . . it got so bad during the 3rd quarter during last weeks game (he and Kimmel) that I don't belive any comments were made about the game being played. In addition, Kornheiser's skewed (I am being nice) political viewpoints are out-of-touch with reality. I'll take Dennis Miller over Kornheiser any time.

Kornheiser is nothing more than an opinionated boob who has NO place calling color or anything else for that matter within the NFL. Go back to your cubicle and WRITE about the things you claim to know about, Tony! Spare us the idle pointless blather on TV. Jeez!

Oh yeah - on another not, tony, get out and actually watch an NHL game before you start some another mindless rant about the game. Dork.

Question: Did anyone see the purported Monday Night Football Commercial that depicted a pro football player high five-ing some sport fans as he was leaving the field, first making contact with the Dad, then Mom, then the son, but when he came to the daughter, he spit into his hands first, rubbed them together, and then "high five-ed" the daughter with spit on his hands? The person who told me he saw this, couldn't remember if it was Monday Night Football or possible the NFL this past Sunday, Nov.4th.
Can anyone out there verify they too saw this?
Does anyone know how one could get to see a re-run?
Thanks for the help.....Tommy D

you people are fools. first off, MNF was never great. it's the games that matter. Al Michaels was good, Madden could take something simple and totally suck every last particle of air available, most of the public never could get Miller's references (sorry dumbasses), and while this is not TK's forum, he does an exceptional job.

Why is Tony Corn ball on MNF?

The opening season game of Monday Night Football
was so bad. He never shut up. I have watched almost every MNF game in there long history. The guy has NO business on this telecast. His voice drove me nuts. I finally could not take it anymore and switched to a baseball game. I feel like a trader. Someone please get this guy off my T.V.

Tony Kornheiser is just a plain idiot. I used to hate Madden and his ridiculous statements, but he HAS been in the NFL, and at least he is a experienced idiot.
Kornheiser has NO CLUE !!! He has to be sucking someones **** at ESPN. Katie Corrick has twice his knowledge.

How do we do a petition to remove Kornheiser, as well as Madden? Any Ideas.....?

I would sign it.

Yeah, Tony Kornheiser is god awful. In the Eagles/Cowboys game tonight Jaws asked Tony who he thought the best receiver on the Eagles was and he said Terrel Owens. This was after harping on the "T.O. in Philly" debacle for the entire first half as if it's still a relevant story. Then later in the game when McNabb got sacked, Tony asked, "If this were 10 years ago, do you think he would have escaped and picked up 15 yards on that play?" Talk about irrelevant. I don't even want to think about last week's Packer's game when Tony said the name "Brett Favre", who was obviously not playing, more times than he said the name of all other players on the field combined.

Kornheiser is awful. He is running his mouth and running his mouth, then apologizes for something out of line that he said, which i have no idea what is was cuz i try to ignore everything he says. He brings absolutely nothing to the broadcast, I have no idea why he is even there. I actually had the game on mute in the third quarter because i couldn't take it, it was so bad. Granted, he is better then some of the other guys they had on, but by default. stick with what you are good at, kornheiser. You are great on PTI, but please stop ruining great games like last night.

Kornheiser's self-assured, smarmy shtick is just
nauseating. He just ruins the game for everyone.
If the idea was to find someone even more grating
than Theismann they have succeeded. Kremer's dried-up ass can go to hell with him.

Tony Kornholer is THE WORST! Time and again he tries to inject his trashy, tabloid, trivial tidbits into national broadcasts of the world's greatest team sport. An audio engineer could make millions of dollars if he could design a machine that would sense the shrieking nasally whine of his vocal frequency and cancel it out. Perhaps something similar to those cheesy karaoke machines that "remove vocals from your favorite songs". I truly appreciate Jaws; probably the best Xs and Os man in the buisiness. Mike Tirico is as polished as they come. I love Suzy Kolber even more than Joe Namath does. Kornholer is like the poor man's Howard Cosell. Leave the tabloid crap for the weekday afternoon slot.
