These guys are chasing 2 guys in the bush and they are being followed by 5 or more camera and audio people. That makes 7 or more people to track not just 2 as they are leading viewers to believe. They shoot the whole thing from perfectly strategic positions with multiple angels and wide frames which requires multiple cameras and people running them. Then there are all the cameras that follow The 2 on horse back. That adds another 5 to 7 camera and audio crew in the bush cracking branches and making noise of their own. I don't see shirt mounted microphones on the runners so in order to get the audio to sound good the guy has to reach in above the shot with a 25 ft pole and a mic on the end, a dead give away to 2 unsuspecting runners trying to hide amongst some brush or behind a tree. Now all of that camera gear weighs a ton so how many ATVs are used to haul all the gear. They don't show you that do they. So now The hero stick on the horse has 7 to 10 sets of footsteps to follow. possibly ATV tracks and when that helps him track close enough to the group he simply looks around until he sees the audio boom sticking over a bush. SHAME on Mantracker and a bigger SHAME on the makers of this show for you are all leading people on and nothing about this show is honest or pure.

Shame on you for writing as if you know how the show is filmed. As past prey I can tell you there are only two camera men with the prey, yes their cameras are heavy but the men carrying them are exremely fit and experienced in the bush...think National Geographic experience. No ATV's whatsoever. And the camera guys had better camo than me! Furthermore, the two camera men that stay on Mantracker and sidekick only give the prey an advantage as it becomes much easier to see two men on horses and two camera men on foot, than it is to see two prey and two camera men decked out in camo in the bush. That being said, the perfect shots and angles you refer to are re-shot days after the actual chase. This allows for the most accurate rendition of the chase in a format that is suitable for viewng, unless you think the shaking runnng shots could sustain your attention the entire hour? Give one of the best Canadian shows in a long time some credit where credit is due. The prey deserve more credit too. We are out there giving it our all, no fakeness there.
