Jimmy Smits Stars In 'Cane'

From "L.A. Law" to "NYPD Blue" to "The West Wing," Jimmy Smits has become a major star. Now he brings his talent to CBS in the family drama "Cane."
Smits plays Alex Vega, a member of a wealthy Cuban-American family that runs a sugar and rum business. He is also the executive producer and said he was drawn to the series because of the writing.
"It was the script; very textured, complex character, I think," he told The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm. "Somebody who has a very strong moral compass, all about family, but has a lot of conflicted issues. Being part of the producing team that was another kicker because you can help kind of nurture some things.

Love this show. It was opposite Boston Legal (I taped BL). I can't find any information anywhere online. Is Cane coming back on air? Writers strike over-what's happening? Anyone have any info on this. It really is 'quality' swimming in a sea of the worst shows ever...

Cane is the best show on television today, it would really be a mistake not to bring it back. Jimmy Smit and the cast are the best. Couldn't wait to watch it every week. Very well written show. Listen to your tv audience!!!!!!!

Okay, this is the best show CBS could ever have. Please bring back this show. Jimmy Smits is the bomb and very good looking. The whole cast really works well together, there really comfortable and they fit together. You have to bring this show back. You're tuesday line-up was the best. NCIS, The Unit and then CAIN. You can't miss. We need this show back.

When is Cane coming back? Best series in fallof 2007. First time I have ever really like Jimmy Smits. He is so sexy and passionate. This is a great show. Even his so called bodyguard/driver is sexy.Bring it back, please!!!!!!! and I'm a 50 something grandmother!!!!! BRING CANE BACK!!!!!!

Gee, everyone receives a break, well, you can see Jimmy Smits put his all into this series, WHY can't it continue PLEASE...Every week we ran home to watch it... We miss it...WE WERE SO PROUD, TO WATCH IT...

This was one of the best shows last season, yet I am hearing ridiculous rumors that it is not coming back. Is this true. If so, I strongly suggest the network rethink their moves. It looks like DVDs are in order for next season for a lot of people.
