Take the 1st ep. in S.4 'Blackberry's'- Ramsey walks thro the door casually looks behind and downwards (as we never usually do) exactly what he needed to do to see a dead mouse. Everybody calls him out on the planted mouse. He goes downstairs with the general manager maintaining his pretense of honesty with an investigation for mouse droppings presumably. None are found and the manager repeats his accusation. They say they have exterminators in as a preventative measure and even when Ramsey asks his best ally in the place when he last saw a mouse he says he hasn't really, apart from one about a year ago. Ramsey then quits, but then the general manager climbs down to save his own job at the ailing restaurant.

The probability that a dead mouse would turn up after about a year in full sight of Ramsey and his TV crew must be astronomical. The only person who thinks it isn't a coincidence beyond reason is a visibly retarded cook called Tyrone who follows the owners mother around like a sheep. Ramsey's last words "I planted a mouse, is she crazy?" - probably not.

It was definitely planted! I just saw the episode and man was I disappointed with Ramsay. Such a low thing to do.
Ramsay is well-known for being into gimmicks for his shows. Even Anthony Bourdain thinks he is too gimmicky.

However, Tyrone was a good worker.

I agree, I think people need to realize the 'Foxified' version of KN is quite likely to become something of a 3-ring circus - such is the nature of Fox.

If you have poison regularly sprayed around the premises where do you think you are going to find dead mice... the entry ways. Yes it is unlikely, but that doesn't mean anything. Weirder things have happened. Watch again he catches a glimpse of the mouse when he walks in then double backs to see what it was before he realizes what it was. Tyrone and the mother were the only sensible talented people in that restaurant. At no point did Tyrone "follow" the mother. In the pre-arrival interviews he's already developed his opinions, which he maintains throughout. You've criticized the two people that were most willing to embrace Ramsay's advice. Watching the show long term you see that the ones that are more willing to embrace the advice become successful. The one's that fight him fail. Tyrone and the Mary were the most intelligent of the bunch.

He probably planted all those other mice they were talking about through the episode as well.

I don"t think he planted it. The owner was unthinkful and full off her own ego.

except then you hear the guy say, when Ramsay walks away, that he saw a dead mouse under a table a few weeks back. And when an exterminator comes the leave poisonous traces that might kill a mouse that wanders in, so you could find a dead mouse anywhere, especially when there's holes in the walls!

The crew prob. fakes a lot of situations for drama effect, but if you look at the scene closely, there was actually a hole next to that door, probably the mice was coming from there... if Ramsey got busted for real they would have edited that part.

I am an avid watcher of Kitchen Nightmares and all the other Chef Ramsey shows and I actually just got through watching this episode of Blackberry's. I feel like the mouse was not planted and that it was very likely to have been there. Before I started tuning in to any of Gordon's shows, I wasnt much of a fan but I have found him to be quite entertaining especially in Hells Kitchen. I do feel like the drama is a bit more amped up on Kitchen Nightmares but that is pretty much it. Like for example when the episode La Frite aired, the brother pretty much hated his sister and by the ending of the show they were back to loving one another and all lovey dovey, no relationship can be repaired in a matter of hours especially that one.

Michelin TIRE Star?!?!?! Are you serious???? You know Michelin Stars and the Michelin Tire Company are two completely separate and unrelated things, right? Oh, wait. Obviously not. Thank you for the huge laugh.

Before you mock others, you should perhaps check your facts. Michelin (pronounced Mishelan) is a French Company, and it also produces the Guides. It was formed in 1888. 12 year later in 1900, they produced their first guide.
Take a look at the logo, recognise the "Man"? Its the parent company.

So whilst you are correct it is not known as the Michelin Tire Star, they are very much related, and part of the same company.

No, thank you for the huge laugh. Michelin stars do indeed come from Michelin Tire Company.

You're telling me that with all the problems related to the food and lack of customers, the show found it necessary to go find a mouse, kill it, and put it in the entry-way without anyone noticing? Not bloody likely.
Tyrone has it right when he asks why can't anyone just take responsibility for this? The reoccurring theme of the show is well-meaning people unable to accept and correct the simple things that go poorly for them.
I used to work at a clean and mostly well run restaurant in Minnesota. One lunch a customer walked in and told me there's a dead rat right outside the building. I didn't argue with her over the origin of the rat, I apologized, thanked her and threw the vermin in the trash. She chose not to eat there, and I couldn't hardly blame her. We didn't have a rat problem, but we did have a dead rat that day.

To some extent treesplease is right in calling 'Michelin Tire Stars' incorrect.
It's like calling 'Toyota Car Prius'.

Michelin has different divisions, Its either Michelin Tires or Michelin Star guides. You just don't call the Michelin Tire Star guide. The guide has nothing to do with tires. Other than being from the same company, they are completely different things. The guide was developed as a recommendation for drivers a place where they can find good food while they change tires nearby.

@singe UK, you of all should know best that it doesn't matter how you pronounce Michelin. You say 'HERBS' while American say 'ERBS', tomato tomaaaato.
