Ordered pizza from this place when it was in Greenwich for an office of 150 people.
Sorry to say, but it was horrible!
Lots of people were disappointed.
I never used them again.
Cafe Morelli was great! He always had full tables in the summertime.

Ate pizza there at the Blues on Bedford Levon Helm concert and was VERY pleased...as were others by the lines and folks who came back for seconds. It was delicious and like a meal in itself !

Loved Cafe Morelli...tried this place outside one summer night and was treated like dirt. Terrible service...I cannot image what it would take for me to go back there. Too many other places to try. Understand it's not just an "okay" restaurant that you don't think about...I do think about it and remember the night I was treated so poorly...wouldn't give it another chance if it was the only restaurant in town.

Yes private party room is great...but wouldn't give them the business.

Cafe Morelli had character and personality.

Lack of uniqueness and "vibes" have been Mr. Settembre's problems.

I think its several things:

First, I think it needs more personality. The downstairs part is too cold looking. Lots of hard surfaces. Get some window treatments. Soften it up a bit, make it warmer looking and warmer feeling. Make the decor interesting to look at. Some of the most interesting restaurants are the ones with lots of things to catch they eye. Also, make sure you add an airlock winter door, so that when people enter the restaurant, it doesn't freeze everyone who is already seated and eating.

When I was there this summer, the menu was all over the place. Do a few things, but do them exceedingly well.

One of the things that makes me go back again and again to a restaurant is the "Cheers" effect. A place where everyone knows your name. You want to cater to regulars, so make sure you know who they are. If the owner is there, make sure you're out on the floor introducing yourself to your guests (and treat them like you would treat guests to your house...learn their names!)

Convenient location but only ok food. Other ITalian restaruants in town are much better, try Marina D' Amalfi is Norwalk for great food, and a warm welcome that truly makes you want to come back again and again.

I think it is funny you remember bad pizza from over 8 years ago. Plus, it is no longer in Greenwich nor a pizza joint. You shouldn't comment about things that have no bearing on the article.

Anyhow- My Girlfriend and I went there 2 summers ago when we lived on prospect. We both had a glass of wine and shared a appetizer of mussels. I thought the service was normal and the app was good. We never went back because the menu never seemed that intriguing. I will certainly check it out now that it's a steakhouse.

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and was very disappointed. The food and service was pretty awful. We waited 30 + minutes for our order. The owner came to our table - not to apologize for the horribe experience - but to brag about his food and what we would be missing if we walked out. I'm happy that this owner is more "humble" after his experience. Unfortunately for him, there are fabulous restaurants in Stamford that are incredibly classy.

I ate at Sabatiello's a few weeks ago before they aired the show on Fox 61 tonight, and had the worst experience ever, There was hardly any customers, the wait was too long, the food was undercooked and poorly prepared and for a $40.00 steak it was not a true Black Angus Steak, and had little seasoning or taste, obvious that theye are back to cutting corners to save money but charge for food your not really eating... When Questioned Sammy the Owner instead of talking or reasoning with me , he bagan to argue with me and swear at me to the point I had to get up and leave and at the same time at least 5 other tables cleared out with me, the worst customer service ever for a high priced restaurant, and hardly prime food, OK at best and overpriced for imitation food they are serving, This place should be out of business and closed or sell it to someone else who can treat customers well and perhaps cook real food... I will never return under the same management or ownership -- Do everyone a favor and CLOSE , I doubt the TV exposure will help you at all. In fact in may be the Nail in your coffin ....

The show this evening reflects my exact experiences with the owner of this rediculous excuse for a restaurant. How on earth does this man think he can continue to act like a baboon and harass customers. His food is just not good. There are many other restaurants in the area that are really good. Specifically, Columbus Park Trattoria, Market, Napa and CO.
I would recommend that people avoid an unecessarily bad experience at this place. I've told many people over the years to stay away. Maybe it worked!!

of mouth is SO powerful in any business. It seems like this could be the nail in the coffin for this restaurant. How could a negative TV show with Gorden Ramsey possibly HELP business improve long term? Give the public some credit here please.

My girlfriend and I were attracted by the location and outdoor seating when we ate there a year ago. To me the problem is clear bad food and high prices. Gordon was right, the food is tasteless. I'm not suprised the microwave is the preference in the kitchen.

I was glad to see that the kitchen was sanitary but I probably won't go back, especially after hearing these reviews. If I want to spend a similar amount for great food I will go to Bennetts, Napa, or Dragonfly.
