So f-ing what.

I wonder if she gave him a handout for his megachurch in person.

The woman is dying and it is someone she wanted to meet before she's gone. Why do you have to be so cruel?

I hope that she had a wonderful time and enjoyed her trip. She and her family are in my prayers.

I didn't actually read the article. I just don't put swindlers up on a pedestal. I am sorry that she is dying, I am way sorrier for the money she has probably donated to his ridiculously large church hoping for miracles and surprise, surprise, not getting one. But I am sure he got some gas money for his holy private jet.

Why is having a large church ridiculous? No one forces that many people to attend. When his father first started the church 30 years ago, only 90 people attended. It has grown tremendously over the years. Joel doesn't take a salary from the church and is the largest monetary contributor to the ministry. He also contributes heavily to various other charities. Why do people like you find it offensive that a minister prospers financially? You don't have a problem with secular persons making money.

Buddy Atheist,

Just be happy for a woman who is dying got to do something that she enjoyed. Unless you funded this trip, you have no opinion that really matters.

If you can't say something nice for this woman just don't say anything at all.

<quoted text>
Hey I don't have a problem with being rich, Jesus does..

Matthew 19, verses 23 and 24. "Then Jesus said to his disciples,'I tell you the truth. It is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Joel Osteen is a great "motivational speaker". Would be even better if he preached the word....OUT OF THE BIBLE!

I agree

"properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived."
