Figures, my wife and I love Moonlight, it's new, and different. Not a medical drama, lawyer drama, hell, not even a cop drama, so they will pull it. Funny they kept Jericho on and the ratings were horrible, and the show wasnt that good. Sigh....I guess we can expect Suvivior, and Big Brother, and any other crap reality TV shows, cause noone has to write a script for it.

I did stop watching the mindless drech on CBS.. that's why I stopped watching Moonlight lol! I'm sorry, but I just found to be a terible show. Badly written, badly acted, i'm happy to see it go. And while I can't stand most of CBS' comedies HIMYM is great! The one bright spot in a sea of crap. I'm glad to see at least one worthy show get renewed.

How could CBS cancel Moonlight!!! Didn't it win for best new drama for the people's choice or something! It was totally voted by people!!! Not Nielsen box people. Doesn't that show people like it. I hate the neilsen people. They probably have a mis-representative sampling of people who only watch the same shows over. It only represents 1% of people. That is hardly representative to the population as a whole. This is the second show on Friday that CBS has cancelled that I watched. The first was Joan of Arcadia now Moonlight. Gah!!!!!! Moonlight was the only thing I watched on Friday! I hate you stupid CBS people! Not to be mean to the show, but I hope that EX List bombs, b/c it is not the type of show I'd watch anyway.

Shark had very respectable ratings. If I remember correctly, Close to Home had better ratings than Ghost Whisperer and they canceled it. I would suspect that CBS is renewing some shows with lower ratings than Shark and Moonlight. I'm afraid that the really creative folks at CBS are not making programming decisions.

Shark 'jumped the shark' as the saying goes with Stark getting dis-barred in California, heading to Vegas to switch sides and then ultimately both betray and survive the mob, only to scoot back into good graces with the Att. Gen of CA who reinstates his license to practice law in CA and he gets his old job back in time to work a case with a Hef spin to it, the vic's a sexy wannabe singer who's a regular at the Playboy mansion who winds up dead. Bad enough Julie Stark and El Loozer Boozer B/F have contributed to the night time version of Days of Our Lives, giving Shark the Soapsy-Sudsy dimension to the show, but I gotta ask what other celebs can we expect to crawl out of the woodwork to do a cameo while Stark continues to defy logic, probablity and possibility before CBS gives it the ultimate kiss-off? Maybe for the exit scene Stark can change clothes in a phone booth revealing the big 'S' tattooed on his chest! Don't get me wrong, I loved the show until about the 4th episode of the 2nd season when the death knell resounded its eminent doom as Julie parrotted Paris, Britney and Lindsay just as the B/F came into the picture. The writers strike might have saved the show except for the lame scripts they've turned out obviously engineered to kill this show. Maybe James Woods will take the show to Fox where they can mingle it with 24, Julie can actually get a life and perhaps the show will become believable the way it was the 1st season. Sorry to see it tank!

Actually Close to Home had lower ratings than Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs so CBS axed it and decided to give another show, Moonlight a chance in its slot. Moonlight performed slightly worse than Close to Home but still respectable and CBS was going to bring it back, however at the last minute they decided putting in a new show in the slot would be better than giving Moonlight another chance.

As much as I didn't want to like it, or think it was going to be as stupid, and redundant, & cheesey as "BUffy," I started watching it, loved it, & Alex O., & got totally hooked!!! Now, they win a People's Choice Award, make the fans wait 3 friggin months to see the 1st of the last 4 episodes for the 07-08 season,(even well after the writers' strike was finished) & then steak us in our hearts!!??!! How cold. I don't go out on Friday nights, cause after my work week, I am so tired, but I loved to stay home because I had a hot, Aussie man of the night come into my room--Mick St. John. CBS got rid of Jericho, then my other show I liked besides Moonlight->"Close to Home," so now it is one more show that has a serious fan base & cult following, not to mention how we rallied all over the net with so many sites & forums, & e-mails to the network to keep this show on. CBS sucks ass, & they don't care. Bring some more crap on, & add some reality shows too, like we don't have enough of those repetitive, drawn out drama-esque features on t.v. CBS just doesn't care. God Love you Alex. I read what you wrote to your fans in the sugar website. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

According to Nielsen Media Research via TVWeek (March 26 - May 21, 2007), Close to Home routinely beat Ghost Whisperer (GW)in total viewers but GW had the upper hand in the sought-after 18-49 demographic.

Moonlighting Canceled? CBS really stands for "Cancels Best Shows." Peoples Choice award winner, loyal following, but hey, let's pull the plug. We did not learn anything from Jericho. I guess they are just that dumb.

I guess at times, Close to Home did beat Ghost Whisperer in the ratings but it seemed that CBS liked Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs more than Close to Home. And Close to Home was nearly cancelled in its first year until it was moved to that spot. So it all comes down to CBS trying out new shows for that slot.

I don't get it a show averaging 10 million viewers is getting cancelled like Shark and Close To Home. CBS really needs to keep Shark. The problem is it seems like a great show like Shark and Close To Home are cancelled for Reality Shows. What next for reality show Celebrity Colon Cleansing. I'm amazed that a good sitcom How I Met Your Mother is returning along with Big Bang Theory, Rules Of Engagement and Two and a half men.

Shark and Close to Home both did well in the ratings however it wasn't as good as most of CBS's other series so both shows ended up getting axed.

James Woods is a jewel,SHARK was excellent! I just happened on to the last show or two. How that "Christine" "Unit" and who knows what all....that you're keeping safe, is beyond me.

CBS only renewed Christine because whenit was in danger of being cancelled earlier this year, ABC expressed interest in picking the show up for another full season. So CBS decided to keep the show for another year. I think it is weird that the didn't order any episodes of The Unit whe the strike was over but then suddenly reenwed it for a fourth season. I guess it all came down to what show CBS thought would do well 2008-2009 and Moonlight and Shark were not on that list.

Moonlight should have been renewed, put anywhere else, and maybe cbs could have canceled one of it's myriad of "reality" shows that suck! Just a thought from a fan that doesn't count to executives.

I loved Moonlight!! That would be messed up if the reality shows keep coming up and real actor get the boot. Not everyone like unscripted BS. I'll take a vampire dect. to any stupid reality show anytime. Where is the blood drive I'll be there!!
