How I Met Your Mother pokes fun at Canada
For six seasons now, the high-energy, irrepressible sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, has had fun at Canada's expense, in part because of its Canadian connection - Vancouver's Cobie Smulders is one of the show's breakout performers - and in part because, to hear co-creator and executive-producer Carter Bays tell it, it's just so easy.

Canadians wear caps with moose horns, they make commercials that say "eh", they make fun of each other's dialects etc. Canadians laugh at themselves easily. As long as it seems to be in good nature they encourage others to join in but they would turn the tv to a different channel if they felt it was not.
