This version of the beloved HMS Pinafore was a total disaster. A total moron changed Gilbert and Sullivan's brilliant score and it sounded more like a poorly written 70's rock opera. Obviously it was dumbed down for an american audience. Just about every critic panned this production and rightfully so. They even added scenes that were not in the original and didn't fit into the story line at all. It was very difficult to watch especially for people familiar with the original version! This was the worst production I have ever seen and I'm shocked that PBS would actually broadcast a travesty like this 'production.'
