I beg to differ! It does have Paranormal Activity all over the Henry County Area. Including McDonough Square itself. This area and others in this county has been investigated and documented for years now. You need to look up under "You Tube" Henry County Ghost Hunters, Part one, two and three. Then take the "Haunted History Tour" at the "Bell Book and Candle Shop" and brush up on your history/ghost sagas.

The thing is, people who want to believe are going to believe, and the ones that don't are going to trash the ones that believe because they have nothing better to do...

People that watch the show aren't always watching because they believe - they watch it because they know that if ANY show is going to have even the slightest bit of credible proof, it will come from GH - not shows like Paranormal State, etc. which use psychics...

There is definitely an eerie quality about certain areas of McDonough such as the square. But i am still not sure that there are ghosts present and i have lived there my entire life.

McDonough is supposedly haunted because of the huge train wreck in 1900.

There was a flood and the trestle(less than half a mile from my house) just collapsed killing around 40 people or so.

worst train wreck ga ever had...and town square isnt far from the scene...apparently the passengers still hang around town...

I now live in McDonough. I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about the train wreck and recent hauntings, or if you feel you are being haunted, please contact me at
carolineblackburn13@yahoo.com
I plan on going on the haunted tour and seeing what they have, if you have been on it please tell me what it was like and if it was realistic.

Caroline:
There is a book on the train crash called In Atlanta or in Hell. Check it out at the bookstore downtown. It is a pretty good account of the crash and its aftermath.

I was partly raised in hampton georgia on elm street.I hav seen a lot of ghosts in hampton georgia. I cud see them in the windows in neighbors houses and sometimes walking down the street in broad day light. Spooky freaky things i saw in hampton georgia wont soon be forgotten. A sick child older than me in my grandparents bed,a glowing green light in ther closet. We kids would walk to the store and see them running or floating around corners of old barns and buildings.Thats wy im at this sight to see if anyone else ever saw ghosts in hampton georgia. Crazy, crazy things ther dude.
