Our courts have some retarded belief that if you get a 502, Alcoholics Anonymous will fix you. As a recovered Alcoholic, that is so far from the truth, but these court ordered people sure help us!!!
It is a program of attraction. yet whenever one of hollywoods goofiest get nailed, they send them to AA. It is a known fact that very few feel they are alcoholic, and will continue their escapades for a long time.
But for the three percent that are-and do get and stay sober, Kudos to us all!!!

How one gets to a meeting or gets sober is irrelevant. What is important is if they keep coming back. I know several who have come through the doors via the court and have stayed. Even if one chooses not to continue, AA really screws up their drinking.
Happy, joyous and free since 2/17/91
