Mahalo for asking! Check out www.surfohio.com and enjoy exploring - it includes the illustrated History of Surf Ohio (on the ABOUT page) and galleries of Surf Ohio event and also celebrity images in the PHOTOS section. And the new shirts, too, of course.
Also click on FESTIKI for full info on the 2010 event, August 14 in Dayton. Seven smokin hot surf bands - plus fire dancers! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for the info. I will be there!! I have always been fond of the TIKI culture, and have been fortunate to be around it for so many yrs in my travels. I was in the military as a career and have been stationed Key West, Fl Philippine Islands San Diego Ca. I was utterly disappointed to return home and see the demise of the Kahiki. I need palm trees and white sands beaches. Old woodies and 70's vans are the ticket.
I used to hang at the bar that the song Margaritville was based on. I could go on and on of my adventures of the past but now look to renew them @ Surf Ohio. Thanks!!

You would LOVE Tiki Magazine - I write about it on my latest blogpost at surfohio.com . They are one of my in-kind sponsors for Festiki again. San Diego - some great tiki bars and stores I hope to hit one day soon. Yes, I miss Kahiki, too. Being born and raised in C-bus, I have fond memories of family birthday and other big celebration dinners there. Also getting my first Fogcutter while on a Homecoming Date in High School (fake ID!).

I lived in the Philippines about 5 yrs. Ilived the life. Beach house or houseboat, Languishing lazily a hundred yards from shore in crystal blue water on just an innertube. Drink of choice Rum & Coke. I have tried them all. Capt Morgan, Sailor Jerry' and Tanduay (Philippine spiced rum). I still do the food though. Regular. My wife of 30 yrs is Filipino and one awesome cook of the island foods. We will do a pig roast this summer I am sure. I am gonna look into your Tiki Magazine.
