Home makeover winner charged with 5 violations of state dog law
Staff report

Walter Matthew Drumm, who with his wife, Blasia, was the recipient of a new home as part of a TV home makeover last fall, has been charged with five violations of Pennsylvania's dog law.

The charges, filed by dog warden Georgia Martin with Magisterial District Judge Kelly Rock, include two counts of failure to license three dogs in 2008 and this year, two counts of failure to have the dogs vaccinated against rabies last year or so far this year and one count of failure to produce a valid certificate of vaccination within 48 hours of Martin's request.

All are nontraffic summary offenses.

The Drumms own three dogs: a Lab mix, a sheep-type dog and a Chihuahua, according to the citations filed by Martin.

In the citation, she said she first requested license and rabies vaccination information from Drumm on Dec. 2, then sent a follow up request on Jan. 2. The charges were filed Jan. 17.

Drumm was cited for similar violations in 1999 and 2000. The fines for those charges were paid in December after a constable picked him up on warrants for nonpayment of the old fines.

The Drumms and their new home were featured this month on the television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

This is what MR DRUMM has on his myspace what ...I am a parent, husband, martial artist, veteran, outdoorsman, shooter, published author and full-time pain in the ****(LOL!). I live in the mountains between Waynesboro and Fayetteville, PA hence the handle "yamabushi". It means "mountain warrior" in Japanese. I'm not a gun nut/survivalist type mind you(yeah, right!), yet I believe that there is something special about where I live. You can't help but feel the power of the mountains if you walk the A-Trail under the tree canopy or stand at the top of Shaefer's Rocks. In medieval Japan yamabushi were guys with a very unique mindset, and still are to this day. They were known/feared for taking care of their own and fierce devotion to their families and friends, values I hold just as dear. In past years I have been a student of Isshin-Ryu and Kyokoshin karate, Tae Kwon Do, Indonesian knife fighting and Ninjutsu. I then moved away from the traditional arts and studied tactical unarmed combat under guys like Kelly Worden, Duane Dieter and Jerry Peterson, yet the 1-dimensional nature of those styles left me feeling unfulfilled. After a major crisis of faith I decided to go back to my roots and now study at South Central Tae Kwon Do in Waynesboro, PA and Mountain Shadow Bujinkan Dojo, parts unknown!. I am married to an incredible woman and have three awesome boys; ages 17, 15 and 12. They are my life!

Listen, for those who insult my family and our living conditions are all fools. You all have NO idea what it was like before this. If I could I would build EVERYONE a house like ours. I would give everything I have for my family and anyone else in need. I dont care about the rude comments. Just goes to show you all have nothing else better to do then insult us. We didnt ask for any of this but yet we were chosen. All thanks to my godmother who thought the world of us and our family. You want to see disgusting? Look at your own self and judge yourself before you judge anyone else. Im not here to insult anyone Im asking that you leave my family alone. Oh as for the 4x4, uh hello there are five of us and I dont think we could all fit into the car
Personally, I don't care what your life was like "before" this. And I don't want you to build me a house. I have a house that I have paid for with my own earnings and hard work.

Why don't you get a job Mr. Drumm rather than playing on the internet?

I thank on behalf of my family everyone who has supported us from the bottom of my heart. To the rest I have this much to say: I have a job, and as of late I've been quite the busy bee. I do repo work, usually under the cover of night. I do my job well though one tenet I have is to not ply the trade on my neighbors or close to my home. I do have access via the job to the means to trace a blog posting by way of an ISP ID number and I ever found that someone talking smack is the address on an order of repossession I might just have to think twice about it. Then you high and mighty types might find yourselves getting a taste of what life was like for my family and I before all this happened. No hope and little if anything to fall back upon.
See you all tonight, hope you made that note hehe

Wow, Mr. Drumm that's creepy. Are you going to wear your ninja suit??

Seriously, though. Good for you if you have found a job. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
