From the posting from you I've seen, there is no such respect at all. But again that is for your "God" and you to deal with.

Well then...
VOTE YES ON PROP 8 !!!
I value family. I love America. I respect God. But you know what... not a single one of those things have any importance in proposition 8. Right now, God frowns at your persistance in using his name to support inequality and to spread the seeds of hatred. The true sheep disrespecting his (or her) sheperd is you. I thought God was love but with how all you right-wing nut-jobs keep going on about God hating this and God hating that... well... I'm starting to think that your God and my God are not one in the same... as my God gets pretty angry when his subjects, his followers, his lambs... take his words, his love... and contort into something vile and hateful.

Are you a self-righteous hypocrite?

Well then...VOTE YES ON PROP 8!!!

If you believe that all taxpaying citizens are entitled to the same legal protections...

If you believe that all children deserve to be loved and protected regardless of the gender of their parents...

If you believe that God created us ALL in His image (there are no caveats in the Bible)...

VOTE NO ON PROP. 8!!!

If all our civil rights were put to a vote "separate but equal" would stil be the law of the land, mixed marriages would still be illegal, and women would still not be allowed to vote. The majority should NEVER dictate civil rights...NEVER!

It amazes me that so many American citizens are fighting so hard to deny other American citizens the equal legal rights that they so freely enjoy without a second thought.

I guess we're no longer a free country, are we?

To undecided Christians:

Christians are not preaching HATE. I understand your frustration. You have to choose between your faith, and your fellow man. You cannot compromise your faith. I understand your position.

Raising children in a world is tough and we rely on our faith to keep us morally grounded. Your vote is your business.

On the flip side, the passion on the "no" side is not only from homosexuals but heterosexuals as well. There's a little more than a lifestyle choice to this for them. They're talking about real love. The 'I wanna grow old with you, never leave my side' kind of love.

And there are millions in this state alone. I just wonder "why?"

Why does it seem like not a disease or choice but a part of who they are?

Why do they share everything in common that you do...except for the sex?

The Bible says the "act" is wrong.
Why is the 'act' in itself wrong?
What harm does it cause in itself?
Why are millions of people born like this?

I don't need answers for these questions. I just want to let you know that
gay people care,
gay people love,
gay people are people.

Do you love freedom?

Do you value equality?

Do you believe the pursuit of happiness is every American's right?

Will you take a stand for the same values this nation's founders elevated in our constitution?

If you said yes to any of these questions,

Vote NO on Proposition 8!!!

Not sure how to respond to your post. You do know that I am a gay man, and RABIDLY pro-gay everything, right? I am also a pagan/psion, hence my praising of the double gendered Deity. Yes, I do understand that xtains are "only doing what they think is right". So did Hitler. The face of bigotry has changed. They used to just be racist or (as in Hitler), espoused a bit of metaphysics too, the whole root race thing from Blavatsky's work, as well as a limb of an esoteric society. Now they just call it "religion", and "how dare we talk back to them!" This sort of monopolistic thinking of Deity, has caused no end of horror and misery in the world, since the early dawn of man. To, in any way, put down, a whole class of people in the name of "god", is criminal, as well as completely self justifying and serving. So, yes, I hear what you are saying, but I give them no quarter.

My gaydar totally beeped.
My message is about openness and flexibility. One person asked me how could he choose to vote no.
He wasn't fighting. He was explaining his position/situation. He was talking in human terms, that require openness and flexibility.

There's too much diety talk, when we should talk about humanity. That's the issue, isn't it?

Although, I would rather prefer that he and Obama make a clearer stance that they outright support gay marriage, though. I guess I'll just take what we can get; The fact of the matter is that he's an opponent of Prop 8.

If I were a Californian, I'm all about the NO, baby!

Too little, too late.

How about giving some of that 66 million you raised in August to help fight this measure?

Oh right. You can't now that you have cozied up to the relgious right and ex-gay ministers.

Lousy democrat hypocrites.

I am fairly well convinced that, at this time in this country, no one can run for president with a pro-gay-marriage plank. However, I further suspect that, were the tide to turn in favor of gay marriage - which a firm NO vote in California would herald - that an Obama-Biden administration will get behind this. Not so for McCain-Palin. Even Rep. Governor Schwarzenegger is OK with this and does not support Prop 8.

Biden's stance, at this point, No to gay marriage and yes to Civil Unions or domestic partnerships. That was said during the VP debate. Not to say that wasn't all rhetoric. I am sure it was.
I am a right winged nut job for gay marriage. We all aren't so ignorant as to believe that marriage is for the few.
I guess to say I am a conservative is a contradiction to what I believe about gay marriage, hmmmmmm.
Anyway, don't loath all of us, there are a few of us that have brains and believe that equality is for all.
My reasons for conservatism is not to deny rights to any group, it has more to do with foreign policy and etc, etc.....
Gulp, I should ready myself for the angry mob, shouldn't I? D
