In some ways I agree with you. MJ didn't have it as good as people think. Nor was he mentally fit. Yet he did what he loved. Singing and dancing. Now as far a racial barriers. I really hate to see that put out their. Yes he made music that all races loved. Yet there are alot of music that alot of races love. He no more or no less barriers than any other music artist.

Ditto, to what you all are saying, and besides THAT, the breaking down of so called 'racial' barriers in MUSIC, as far as African American music is concerned, was WELL in place BEFORE even MJ's PARENTS were born.

Same people who not too long ago were making fun of him and calling him the world's richest molester. Now the media and many in the public are paying respects to him like he was a saint.

As for breaking down racial barriers, I think that's just silly. Back in the day, MTV wouldn't play his video's becaue at the time MTV considered itself a "rock" channel and MJ definitely was not rock. The public, his management, record co etc etc..will say it was because he was "black".
