I wish I knew more about the pre-paid tuition plans in FL. Unused tuition is probably not refundable nor transferable after a certain number of years. I did find that Alex finished high school, don't know if she got a GED or regular diploma, and she did claim she was attending college classes -- who knows if that was true? And Katherine has taken college level classes, so some of it is being used.<quoted text>That is BS. They dont pay the guests in cash, but they receive all kinds of benefits and services free and gifts. Maybe the Stehls get more than others. And the show must pay travel, meals and lodging for everyone. Tuition is a waste for these girls. Don't we mean a college fund for all these kids who didn't ask to be born?
The Stehl parents at least had high hopes and expectations for the girls, enough so, to commit to a pre-paid tuition plan for them. It's horrible that they had so much support, and yet the girls had so little ambition. There must have been even more toxic messages in their house growing up that have not been revealed on DP.
I had a former work colleague who was always bragging about his daughter's and son's high IQ test scores. Years later, neither one of his children finished high school, his daughter lives in poverty with illegitimate children, and his son still struggles with drug addiction. This was a sad case of children with all the aptitude in the world, but zero motivation to do anything with all that talent. Now I don't believe the Stehl girls have above average intelligence, but they didn't have to settle for lives of quiet desperation. Waste!
