TV series come back in new forms

There are 4 comments on the Newsday story from Mar 20, 2009, titled TV series come back in new forms. In it, Newsday reports that:

What next? A remake of the '60s sitcom "My Mother the Car"? Maybe TV will take another crack at that '90s musical drama bomb "Cop Rock." Finished TV series don't necessarily fade away anymore.

Notice how the re-makes of all those classic shows last for only one season - if that, while the original shows on which they were based lasted for many years. The majority of re-makes don't last and lack the quality of the original that they imitate.

Hey! Great observation. And notice how sheeit outlasts shinola! MMTC was a very, very sucky sitcom.

So what do we have for Primate Time now? We have shockers done all with closeups and camera that won't stop moving. Do the TV headix think we have attention spans of a few seconds?

And the revolting crimes and end-of-the-frigging world topics aren't what we want to see at the end of a dreary day getting beat up in the world of commerce and industry.

So with the mindless change for the sake of change of analog to digital--and since our junk box plastic A2D converter doesn't work--we simply watch reruns of MURDER SHE WROTE 8 HAWAII FIVE OH on DVD. Hail the divine Angela & what's his name cop!

The problems with remakes is they lack the chemistry of the original show, The chemistry is part of why it did well, I watched
a recent episode of All in the family i haven't laughed that hard at a sitcom in a long time... They keep repeating the same old story's it gets old... than came the stupid reality shows that had little reality to them. We dont have the talent of the 60-70S anymore just cookie cutters.
