Maybe I'm missing something but I didn't see Obama's name anywhere in that article. Could it be that you are reading more into the article than you should? Just wondering. BTW OBAMA 08/12 & 12/16 - That would be Michelle Obama for 2012-2016 just in case you're wondering.

Or could it be that "What The" is just a little bit more politically informed than you are?

Just wondering!!

"Eva Longoria, other celebrities to rally local Obama supporters

BY ROBERT MOORE • RobertMoore @coloradoan.com • October 1, 2008

The stars will align in Fort Collins on Saturday for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Eva Longoria Parker of "Desperate Housewives" fame, "Harold and Kumar's" Kal Penn, and "CSI Miami's" Adam Rodriguez are scheduled to visit Colorado State University to stump for Obama.

Former Denver Mayor Federico Pena, Obama's national campaign co-chair, will headline another event Saturday aimed at Hispanic voters."

The article _DID_ state "[t]he two are helping out with a college voter registration tour ... ". I haven't seen one of those yet that _AREN'T_ run by partisan group.

It doesn't take too much brain power to make a reasonably accurate estimate about the probable political affiliation of 1) actors doing a voter registration tour 2) on a college campus.

If you have doubts about their agenda, do the legwork to check it out. If you don't care, why bother to comment about it?

---------
BTW, I recently enjoyed messing with the heads of one of those partisan voter registration groups. I needed to update my voter information after a recent move, and doing it at such a drive was more convenient at the time than doing at the county office. I registered as "declined to state" (no party affiliation) as I always have - but commented that I was leaning to the other party's candidate. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the "Ah,$#!+, another wasted registration of a misguided voter" expression on the face of the person filling out the form.

What's sad is that people actually LISTEN to these actors without doing a little research into the issues on their own. What a pathetic society we've become. Hero worship of night-time soap actors. Are you kidding me?????

I went to the rally, being a big Eva fan, and it really wasn't all that impressive. I snagged a volunteer spot from a friend involved with the program and got to be on stage with them. I tried to get an autograph, but Eva practically ran back to the car, while Adam mingled more with the crowd. They were here for about ten minutes... I was disappointed that Eva wasn't more willing to meet and greet with the people.

As you can see, I really didn't take that much of a political interest in the event.

of course she didn't stay. She doesn't have a whit of intelligence to be able to say anything meaningful about the issues at hand. All she cares about is that a liberal democrat gets elected so everyone in Hollywood can marry each other and their dogs and all will be right with the world. sigh.......................

Exactly. What torques my hide is that the Sun News initially presents it as a non-biased attempt to register voters. Why weren't they just report it straightforwardly as they did on the post-event article? It's asinine that anyone would be swayed by a celebrities to vote one way or the other. People that were disappointed with these "performers" shouldn't have had any expectations to begin with either.
