HBO already did a special with the real owners of the house and gave a tour. The owners confirmed that the house was only used on the pilot episode. The inside of the house was actualy filmed on set in NY.
They must have meant that INSIDE filming was only done at that time or they just didn't want people flocking to the house, because filming definitely was being done there throughout the entire run of the series. They would post an upward pointing arrow at the entrance of Wildwood (the street leading to Aspen) whenever filming was to take place. I tried to drive to the house once when filming was obviously taking place (many cars with cards on them were parked along Wildwood and the sign was posted), but a police officer was standing at the entrance of Aspen screening any car that tried to turn in.

They would also post "crew" signs, which I once followed, ending up at the Grandview School parking lot. It was filled with crew trailors, but no one was there.

If you stop in at the Matarazzo Nursery/Market on Mountain Avenue, you can see photos of the characters posted there. The owner was Mayor of our town when the series began. The "house" that the mob boss (don't remember the character's name) that had the over-weight wife is in that vicinity as well.

My son's wife-to-be is employed at the "Bada Bing" (Satin Dolls")(not a dancer), so she naturally has met some of the characters.

I was surprised to see that Zillow has valued the Saprano house at under a million. That really does seem too low. A house on our nearby street sold last year for 815K; and to my shock and disbelief, the buyer tore it down and built a house that was priced at 2 million, which sold before completion. It has no pool, and while very nice, doesn't look as impressive to me as that one does...not to mention the fame attached to it. It would be interesting to see what that house would sell for, but I would have to guess that it would be well over one million. Check out Coldwell Banker to get an idea of the prices are in North Caldwell, NJ, and I think you would agree.

I'm the real owner. The one who live the house. Feel free to push the door bell... people are welcome at my home... thanks

Impossible, Puerto Ricans don't own, they rent. It's a fake post by him

My cousin lives on Aspen Drive. However, his house was not the one used on the Sopranos. Yes the house is real & exterior shots were filmed on a regular basis. There was a few interior shots. Very interesting to walk down Aspen while visiting my cousin and see the "Sopranos Home". I watched the show every week and still view my DVD's on a regular basis. I've got some great pics and video of the house! What a treasure!!!

The home IS real, and the DO film in it. I've been to it, and seen the set and everything. They don't use it just for exterior shots.

Though everyone in this chain focuses on the house there are a lot more references to "local reality" than viewers realize. I grew up very close to tony's "neighborhood". I always smiled at the constant ongoing barage of series dialogue references to restaurants for take out chinese, pizza, the local diner or the nearby mall. If you are a local you caught it all and appreciated how the shows writers stayed true to the character of the area.

14 Aspen Drive, North Caldwell, NJ is where the outside shots were done. 633 Stag Trail Road North Caldwell NJ a block and a half down the road is where the Sopranos " actually lived". All interior shots were done at 633.

In the first episode, they have a subzero refrigerator (later episodes a black free-standing refrigerator) a built-in microwave (later a cheap small one sitting on the countertop), light peach-colored countertops (later dark green with wood trim). Has anyone ever noticed these differences?

You are wrong! All shots were done at the home or at Silver Cup Studios in Queens, NY.

If you check that address in Google satellite view, it doesn't look likely. Plus there's no pool and the yard's way too small.
You must be looking at the Wrong house. or Google has it off. because if you put that address in MSN Maps, and look at it W/birds eye view. its TOTALLY the same house. and YES there is a Pool RIGHT Out back. its covered for season in the photo. and they did Film Some Outside scenes in the back there.
